Heart to Tail Cat Toy Advent Calendar

When it comes to Advent calendars, Aldi doesn’t forget about our pet cats and dogs.

The grocer has sold some different dog treat calendars and cat treat calendars over the years. Reviews have been mixed on the treat calendars. They were even recalled in 2021 because they posed choking hazards.

This year’s Aldi Advent calendar selection reliably includes a dog treat Advent calendar. (No cat treat calendar, though.)

Aldi is also doing something new this year with the addition of a dog toy Advent calendar and a cat toy Advent calendar.

We picked up the cat calendar for our own Aldi Reviewer Cat to try out at home.

The Heart to Tail Cat Toy Advent Calendar is an Aldi Find. That means it’s in stores for just a short time. Each store gets one shipment, and after that sells out, it’s gone. Aldi does not offer online ordering for this if it’s sold out at your local store.

This calendar cost $9.99 at the time of publication. With 12 toys included in the calendar, that comes out to about 83 cents per toy.

The calendar includes the following:

• Plush mushroom toy with catnip
• Plush fish toy with catnip
• Plush candy cane toy with catnip
• Two plush mouse toys with catnip
• Plus Christmas stocking with catnip
• Plastic rolling toy with jingle bell
• Plush gingerbread toy with catnip
• Plastic ball with bell
• Shiny crinkle ball
• Red slingshot spring toy with feather
• Red and white nylon toy

The Aldi Reviewer Cat likes several toys in this calendar. Her favorites are the two mice filled with catnip. They have string tails that seem to add to the fun. They also have cute little sewn-on ears.

The Aldi Reviewer Cat also likes the spring toy with a feather attached, and there’s a plush fish toy with feather that also interests her.

The red and white nylon toy has also gotten the Aldi Reviewer Cat’s attention.

This cat Advent calendar seems to be a winner with our cat. The toys are decent quality, and the Aldi Reviewer Cat definitely smells the ones that contain catnip.

The Verdict:

The Heart to Tail Cat Toy Advent Calendar is new at Aldi this year. It contains 12 cat toys, including plush mice with catnip, various other holiday-themed plush toys with catnip, a plastic ball with bell, a spring toy with feather, a crinkly ball, a plastic rolling toy with bell, and a springy nylon toy. We introduced our Aldi Reviewer Cat to the toys in this collection, and she likes most of them, so this was well worth picking up.
