Lacura Face Care Be Kissed Lip Balm
Aldi has rolled out an intriguing array of new skin care and hygiene items in its Lacura product line. The latest thing to hit store shelves is lip balm.
I am kind of crazy about lip balm and always keep several tubes around the house and in my purse so I’m never without it. I used to be a longtime fan of the Softlips brand, but now I use a lot of Blistex and ChapStick. I like lip balms that have a pleasant smell, although they don’t necessarily have to be fruity. I also prefer to buy lip balms that have some sunscreen in them because a little SPF is always a good thing, and I am prone to getting cold sores, which SPF can help prevent.
Of course I had to try the new lip balms when I saw them in Aldi’s ad a few weeks ago. The Lacura Face Care Be Kissed Lip Balm advertises a “fruity flavor experience velvety lips;” is made with beeswax, oils, and vitamins; and is dermatologically tested. The package contains three 0.17-ounce lip balm tubes in three flavors: Pomegranate and Aloe Vera, Cranberry Vitamin Smoothie, and Tangerine-Orange.
These balms have real fruit ingredients such as cranberry extract and mandarin orange peel extract. You can check out the ingredients in the photo below.
Aldi’s lip balm and is smooth and seems to do a good job moisturizing lips. It also smells good; it’s fruity but generally doesn’t smell overly sweet like kids’ lip balm. My only complaint is that the Lacura lip balm does not contain SPF. Aside from that, it’s a great lip balm.
The Verdict:
Aldi’s Lacura Face Care Be Kissed Lip Balm in Pomegranate and Aloe Vera, Cranberry Vitamin Smoothie, and Tangerine-Orange flavors is good. It smells good and does a good job moisturizing lips. I only wish Aldi’s lip balm had some SPF for sun protection. Otherwise recommended.
It’s back in stores!
Does the orange crush contain fragrance
All of the lip balms contain “fragrance” in their ingredients lists.
Are the lip balms tinted?
I don’t remember them being tinted. I think some of the lip balms have a bit of mild color to them, but they don’t leave color on your lips.
The lip balm is so hydrating and nurturing.
Is this a vegan and cruelty free product?
Thank you
If you click on the picture of the ingredients, they’re made with beeswax, so they’re not vegan.
An avid Aldi shopper here I have to disagree.
Seriously this lib balm is horrible and I ended up throwing mine out. It’s thick and chalky and and does not apply well.
My lips can get dry, so i apply frequently. Continuously applying this lip balm for a few days and my lips just felt sore and cracked. Does nothing to hydrate for me. The balm doesn’t spread very well as it’s thicker and dryer than most. Honestly this is the worst lib balm product i’ve used.
After going back to other lip balms my lips thanked me.
You can skip product – I do not recommend.
I would have asked for a refund ‘twice as nice’ guarantee but I haven’t kept the receipt.
Where can I get some more of this lip balm. The Aldi in Mint Hill NC told me that they don’t carry it any more. I love this lip balm.
It was a limited-time special and an Aldi exclusive, and we haven’t seen it at Aldi in a while.
I love it too. I am so disappointed that I can not find it again.
