Little Salad Bar Spring Mix

I buy several types of salad from Aldi every week. We frequently eat salad with our evening meal, and everyone in the family can customize their salad with veggie toppings and salad dressings to suit individual tastes.

We’re fans of the Caesar salad kits at Aldi. We also like the large organic spring mix salad packs, which contain a ton of salad.

Another one we buy on a regular basis is the regular bagged spring mix at Aldi. This contains a “mix of baby lettuces, baby leafy greens and radicchio.” It’s washed and ready to eat.

Little Salad Bar Spring Mix cost $2.69 for a 5-ounce bag in 2025. That comes out to about 54 cents per ounce.

This is a Regular Buy, which means you’ll find it at Aldi year round. It’s stocked in the refrigerated produce case among the other bagged salads.

The package states this spring mix is thoroughly rinsed, gently dried, and packaged in a breathable bag for “maximum flavor.” The bag offers “proper oxygen flow for a fresh taste.”

To ensure freshness after opening, keep the salad refrigerated in its original bag and tightly closed.

Ingredients are green leaf lettuce, mizuna, tango, green oak, spinach, green chard, arugula, red leaf lettuce, lolla rosa, radicchio, red chard, and red oak. The package states ingredients may vary by season.

This bag has a nice variety of lettuces and greens. I like to serve this as part of our family dinner, and I set out grape tomatoes, sliced cucumbers, diced bell peppers, and other salad toppings so people can assemble their own salads. This tends to last as long in the fridge as other bagged salad mixes.

The Verdict:

The Little Salad Bar Spring Mix is a good option if you’re looking for a bagged salad at Aldi. It’s got a mix of baby lettuces, baby leafy greens, and radicchio.

    1. Good question. One bag would be a ton of salad for just one person. I find that one bag easily feeds at least three adults, maybe more, if you’re just serving small side salads, especially if you add other veggies and salad toppings.

  1. I buy one bag and mix it with 1 romaine head and that gives a nice salad mix, and easier to keep than the big organic box.
