Simply Nature Organic Spring Mix
With a renewed focus on eating more fiber and veggies, my household seems to consume more and more salad these days. Some of my kids even like to make a salad as a snack after school. The little bags of salad greens from the grocery store don’t last long at this rate.
If I want lots of salad greens, there is an option at Aldi that fits the bill: the Simply Nature Organic Spring Mix. It’s a huge plastic clamshell that contains a mix of baby lettuces, greens, and radicchio. The label specifies this mix does not contain romaine.
Besides the fact that this is a ton of lettuce and greens, it’s also extremely convenient. I don’t have to chop or wash any of it. It’s ready to serve straight out of the package. Some of the pieces are a little on the larger side, so sometimes I do cut or tear some of the bigger pieces apart before serving, but you don’t have to do that.
The package claims this has five 3-cup servings, but we get multiple cereal bowl-sized salads for multiple meals for my whole family from a single package. Because it’s so much salad, it may not be for everyone, as it can be a challenge to eat it all before it spoils.
Simply Nature Organic Spring Mix is a Regular Buy. That means you should be able to find it at Aldi all year. It’s stocked in the refrigerated produce section among the other salad mixes.
We buy Aldi products with our own money for review. I paid $4.89 for a 16-ounce container of this spring mix in January of 2025. That’s around 31 cents per ounce. It’s a good price for as much salad as you get.
This is USDA Organic and non-GMO. It’s also certified organic by California Certified Organic Farmers. The package states it’s “thoroughly washed” and contains no preservatives.

The ingredients may vary, according to the package, but the ingredients listed are organic lolla rosa, organic red leaf, organic red oak, organic arugula, organic baby spinach, organic chards, organic green leaf, organic green oak, organic kale, organic mizuna, organic tango, and organic radicchio.
One 3-cup serving has 15 calories, no fat, 40 mg of sodium (2% DV), 3 grams of total carbohydrates (1% DV), 1 gram of dietary fiber (4% DV), 1 gram of total sugars, and 2 grams of protein.
The Verdict:
Simply Nature Organic Spring Mix is a very large container of various baby lettuces, kale, baby spinach, and more. It’s precut and washed, so it’s ready to serve. If you’re serving salad to a crowd, or your family just eats a lot of salad all the time, this is an easy and economical option.

I extend freshness by washing and saving a couple of the containers, layering the greens into them with paper towels to absorb extra moisture, covering well, and refrigerating. They do take more room in the fridge, but since we started doing this they last much longer so no more expensive compost!
Good tip!
I just stick one paper towel on the top of the container and they last a full week or longer. I’m so glad you are reviewing healthier products and not so much of the processed food. Great job!
