Aldi recently dropped several Mother’s Day 2021 gift ideas in its weekly ad. Among the comfortable pajamas, cozy sweaters, reed diffusers, essential oils, and art supplies, I spotted a personal favorite: a 7-piece hand cream set.
On a whim, I picked up this hand cream set for myself just before Mother’s Day in 2020 while I was doing my regular grocery shopping at Aldi. The set was nicely packaged with pretty images on each tube, and the various scents looked intriguing. For $5, I figured I’d give it a try.
My Beauty Spot 7-Piece Hand Cream Gift Set cost $4.99 at the time of publication. That’s about 71 cents per lotion tube. Each tube contains just under one ounce of hand cream, and the tubes all together total 6.16 ounces.
Hand cream scents include:
- Vanilla Bean
- French Lavender
- Tropical Coconut
- Fresh Aloe Vera
- Sweet Chamomile
- Rose Water
- Wild Eucalyptus
There isn’t really a bad scent in this group. I shared the hand creams with my daughters, and I put them in a small basket and we enjoyed picking out scents and using them at night before bed time. We liked just about all of them, but our particular favorites included the Sweet Chamomile, Vanilla Bean, Rose Water, and Tropical Coconut.
We didn’t care for the French Lavender scent as much, although I still used it. It was a bit too piney for our preferences and was the last tube to get used up, but other people may like it better than we did.
The hand cream had a medium consistency in terms of thickness, and our skin seemed to absorb it well. If you have very dry skin, you’ll probably want a product that’s more heavy hitting and unscented, but for ordinary skin this provided a decent amount of moisture.
While we used these at home, the tubes’ small sizes make them ideal for tucking into a purse or handbag, keeping in the car, or packing in a suitcase for travel or vacations.
I’m glad to see these again and will definitely be buying another set once they hit my local store shelves.
My Beauty Spot 7-Piece Hand Cream Gift Set come in a variety of scents that are all good, more or less, and they provide a decent amount of moisture. We especially like the Sweet Chamomile, Vanilla Bean, Rose Water, and Tropical Coconut. The only scent we didn’t like much was French Lavender. These hand creams come in small tubes that are great for using either at home or on the go.
