Pueblo Lindo Tostadas

If I’m eating at a Mexican restaurant, I’m most likely to order tacos, fajitas, or chimichangas. One menu item that I often see but rarely order is tostadas — crispy fried tortillas topped with popular taco accompaniments such as beans, meat, salsa, sour cream, and other toppings.

I recently made a recipe that calls for baking soft corn tortillas to make tostadas, and it was fantastic. It’s not hard at all to bake your own tostadas using store-bought tortillas.

However, if you want ready-made tostada shells, Aldi sells those, too.

Pueblo Lindo Tostadas are a Regular Buy. That means you should be able to find them at Aldi all year. They’re stocked in the aisle with other Mexican-inspired foods such as crunchy taco shells, taco seasoning, canned diced tomatoes and green chilies, and refried beans.

We buy Aldi products for review using our own funds. I paid $1.99 for a 12.8-ounce package of these tostadas at my local Aldi in April of 2025.

Pueblo Lindo is not a company. Rather, it’s the Aldi house brand for traditional Hispanic food, including flour tortillas, corn tortillas, diced green chilies, dry black or pinto beans, and queso fresco cheese.

Ingredients are corn masa, vegetable oil (palm olein), sea salt, calcium hydroxide, citric acid (acidifying agent), and silicon dioxide (anti-caking agent).

These are gluten free.

The package doesn’t have instructions for heating these. I heated them similar to how I heat crunchy taco shells. I preheated my oven to 375 degrees and baked them on a baking sheet for about three minutes, until they were warm and crispy.

I made some homemade refried beans using canned black beans and sauteed peppers and onions. I also set out an array of taco toppings / fillings, including seasoned ground turkey, salsa, shredded cheese, sour cream, and lettuce. Everyone made their own custom tostadas.

These were a hit with my family. The tostadas are crispy, flavorful, and a perfect vehicle for whatever you want to top them with. Due to their flat shape, we found these to be a little easier to load up and to eat compared to regular curved crunchy taco shells. I’ll definitely be buying more of these.

The Verdict:

Pueblo Lindo Tostadas are a great choice if you’re looking for something different from the usual crunchy taco shells for your taco night. They come in a large bag with plenty of servings, and they’re easy to warm in the oven and serve up with all kinds of taco toppings.
