SOHL Furniture Kids’ Bookcase Landing at Aldi

Aldi’s limited buys are always an interesting grab bag of items. One week you might see kitchen appliances alongside yoga pants; another week you might spot a backpack next to a sink organizer. If you were to siphon out all of the stuff Aldi puts in the middle aisle over the course of a year and put it in its own building, it would probably resemble a small department store.

Most of those products are physically small, like a pack of shorts. Then there are the big things … as in, the items that are so large they are just dropped on a corner floor pallet. I’m talking things like ping pong tables and treadmills, products in boxes that probably aren’t going to fit on or under your shopping cart.

Furniture has been a mainstay of Aldi limited buys for several years now, going back to the early days of futons and computer desks. Since then, the grocer has dropped everything from cabinets to benches, and each year it seems like we see something new.

In 2023, Aldi stocked a new piece we hadn’t seen before: a children’s bookcase.

What We Know:

SOHL Kids Bookcase

The SOHL Furniture Kids’ Bookcase (Product Code: 708948) is an Aldi Find, which means it’s only in stores for a limited time. Once it’s gone, it’s gone — you won’t be able to get again until it comes back, whenever that might be. Aldi doesn’t offer online ordering for products that aren’t at your local store.

At the time of this post, the bookcase costs $49.99.

According to Aldi, features include:

  • Multipurpose use as toy storage, display cabinets, bookshelves, and more
  • Creative and contemporary design
  • Measures 29.92″ L x 11.81″ W x 29.52″

What We Don’t Know:

We haven’t picked up this bookcase, so we don’t know how easily it assembles, how solid and stable it is, or how it holds up. We’ve created this open thread for users to share their experiences.

Did you pick up this bookcase? Let us know about it in the comments.
