The Huntington Home Wood Tree Candle is on its Way to Aldi

In recent years, Aldi has sold some pretty trendy home decor. Their products are often imitations of expensive name brands such as Pottery Barn, or they’re simply lower-priced versions of products you might find at Target or IKEA. Or, sometimes Aldi sells home goods that I’m not sure are inspired by any retailer in particular.

The latest Aldi ad features a wooden tree candle that looks like it came right out of the pages of a catalogue or advertisement for an upscale retailer. It’s a 25-ounce candle poured into a wooden mold that is shaped like a Christmas tree. I’ve seen wooden bowls like this referred to as dough bowls, and in fact, dough bowl candles in various shapes are not hard to find at other stores. They have a rustic, farmhouse-style look to them.

What We Know:

The Huntington Home Wood Tree Candle (Product Code: 709845) is an Aldi Find, which means it’s only in stores for a short time. Each store receives one shipment of the candles, and after they sell out, they’re gone. Aldi does not offer online ordering for these if they’re not in stock at your local store.

This is scheduled to arrive in Aldi stores on November 29th, 2023.

The Huntington Home Wood Tree Candle cost $14.99 for a 25-ounce candle at the time of publication. That’s on the lower end of prices for other dough bowl candles I found online.

This is available in two scents: Balsam & Birch or Spiced Cider.

Huntington Home is not a company. Instead, it’s the private label Aldi uses for many of the home goods they sell.

What We Don’t Know:

We haven’t yet purchased this candle, so we don’t know what its dimensions are or how well it burns. We’re also not sure exactly how many wicks this candle has, but we’re guessing it has several. We write open threads to provide readers with a place to discuss Aldi products.
