Trader Joe’s Cheese Party Tray

We eat our fair share of cheese in our house. It goes well with crackers, fruit, veggies, or as a snack eaten simply on its own. While Aldi and its distant cousin Trader Joe’s both sell some fancier cheeses, we tend to like the simple stuff. A basic cheddar, Swiss, or colby jack hits the spot.

During a recent Trader Joe’s shopping trip, I was looking for some cheese to pair with crackers, and I found this fun option: a cheese party tray with four different types of sliced, single-serving pieces cheese.

The Trader Joe’s Cheese Party Tray features sliced colby jack cheese, Swiss cheese, mild cheddar cheese, and pepper jack cheese.

We buy products for review using our own money. I paid $5.99 for a 16-ounce Trader Joe’s Cheese Party Tray in early 2025.

The package I bought in February of 2025 had a best-by date of April 25th, 2025.

Each cheese slice measures a little more than 3 inches long and not quite 2 inches wide.

One package has 14 two-slice servings (32 grams each). There were seven slices of each type of cheese in our package. One serving has 120 calories, 9 grams of total fat (12% DV), 6 grams of saturated fat (30% DV), 170 mg of sodium (7% DV), 1 gram of total carbohydrates (0% DV), no dietary fiber or added sugars, and 8 grams of protein.

All of the cheese options in this tray are as good as we expected. We liked them on their own or paired with Trader Joe’s Seeds & Grains Crispbread Norwegian Crackers. These are good with all the usual charcuterie accompaniments.

I wondered whether the resealable packaging would work well. So far, so good.

The Verdict:

The Trader Joe’s Cheese Party Tray features seven snack-sized slices each of colby jack, Swiss, mild cheddar, and pepper jack cheeses. If you need cheese for a party — or just convenient cheese for snacking — this package will do the job.
