Trader Joe’s Seeds & Grains Crispbread Norwegian Crackers
I typically avoid a lot of products in the cracker and chip aisle at the grocery store. These foods tend to have a lot of empty calories, with more fat, sodium, and carbs than I want to eat.
Sometimes, though, I’ll find something that’s not so bad. I was pleasantly surprised to find some seed and grain crispbread Norwegian crackers at Trader Joe’s, which is a distant cousin to Aldi. The ingredients list features all whole foods that are easily recognizable, with no ultra-processed ingredients.
These are made with sunflower seeds, rye, oats, and flax, among other things. The package states these ingredients are “combined into a crunchy crisp for maximum cracker satisfaction.” As the name indicates, these are a product of Norway.
We buy products for review using our own funds. I paid $2.99 for a 7.75-ounce package of Trader Joe’s Seeds & Grains Crispbread Norwegian Crackers in early 2025. That comes out to about 39 cents per ounce. With 10 large single-serving crackers per package, that’s around 30 cents per cracker.
The package states:
These are really seedy, really crunchy, savory flats made for us in Norway using the bakeriets proprietary process. The crispbreads make a wonderful snack on their own, or are perfect served with cheese and soup.
Ingredients are simple: sunflower seeds, sesame seeds, wholemeal rye flour, oat bran, oatmeal, flaxseed, spelt wheat bran, water, sea salt, salt, oregano, and thyme.

One package has 10 single-cracker servings. One serving has 110 calories, 6 grams of total fat (8% DV), 0.5 grams of saturated fat (3% DV), 210 mg of sodium (9% DV), 10 grams of total carbohydrates (4% DV), 3 grams of dietary fiber (11% DV), no sugars, and 4 grams of protein.
These have a carbs-to-fiber ratio of 3.33:1, which is really good.
We like eating these crackers with sliced cheese. Given the large size of each cracker (about 3.5 inches by 4.5 inches), we like to roughly break these into halves or quarters and top them with cheese. They taste a bit plain when eaten on their own, but they’re not bad that way either.
The crackers are very sturdy and hold up well dunked in tomato soup, which is also one of our favorite ways to eat these.
The Verdict:
Trader Joe’s Seeds & Grains Crispbread Norwegian Crackers are a product of Norway. They’re made with healthy ingredients including sunflower seeds, sesame seeds, wholemeal rye flour, oat bran, oatmeal, flaxseed, spelt wheat bran, and some simple seasonings. On their own, they taste pretty simple. They pair nicely with cheese, and their hearty, crispy texture makes them good for serving with soup as well. If you’re looking for a cracker or snack that is better for you, these are worth a try.
