Aldi Bringing Back the Ferrex 20V Cordless Blower

Spring, summer, and fall are great for a lot of reasons. No frigid winter temperatures. No ice and snow. Baseball. Cookouts. Swimming. Football. It’s great.
Except for the parts that are not so great. Heat and humidity. Bugs. The sun coming up early in the morning.
And the lawn.
I’m sure there are plenty of people who love tending to their lawns. I’m sure there are plenty more people who would rather spend their days doing other things besides fighting the endless war growing grass, eliminating weeds, and dealing with other lawn care challenges.
Aldi is no hardware store, but the supermarket has sold lawn care equipment for years. Past offerings include weed trimmers, hedge trimmers, and even lawn mowers.
Another regular in the lineup is this cordless blower.
What We Know:
The Ferrex 20V Cordless Blower is an Aldi Find, which means you can only find it in stores for a short time. Once Aldi sells out, you won’t be able to find it in stores until it comes back the following year. Aldi does not offer online ordering for products that aren’t in stock at your local store.
This is scheduled to arrive in stores October 1st, 2025.
This costs $49.99 in October of 2025. That’s $10 more than the $39.99 it sold for in April of 2025, 2024, and 2023. Aldi did sell it for $49.99 in 2022. This blower still costs less than most other 20-volt blowers I can find.
The 2023 blower came with a 3-year warranty serviced by Positec Group. Positec is the company behind the Rockwell and Worx brands. Aldi has not yet published information about whether the 2025 blower has a warranty.
According to Aldi, the 2025 blower’s features include:
- DC voltage: 20V
- Blow speed: 120 mph
- Compact, lightweight design for easy one-hand operation
- Easily clears debris from hard surfaces like driveways, decks and garages
- Includes battery with level indicator and charger
- Rubber overmolded grip for added comfort
This is sold under the Ferrex brand, which is not a company. Instead, it’s the name Aldi puts on tools and certain yardwork products, which it sources from various suppliers.
What We Don’t Know:
We haven’t yet put this blower to the test ourselves. That’s why we’ve created this open thread for users to share their experiences.

Weakest link usually the battery. Where would you find a replacement? Better to stick with a name brand.
I’m with you Duke. Where indeed! It’s often a confusing maze dealing with product issues with Aldi. They surely could be more transparent.

I agree, my battery died after about 4 uses. Is it the battery or the charger. I don’t know, but I don’t see where I can purchase it unless I pay the price of the whole set.
Yes, but some of those name brand blowers do not come with a battery.

I have used mine for the first time and it was very good. Light weight and able to handle all my residential needs. My first thought was battery life and reolacement. I called the customer service and they had over 200 in stock and are warranteed for 3 years of life. For the price and light residental usage i.e. garage,deck and lawn I think it is a good value.
Just bought one…..interesting that you don’t have to register the product now, just request service after the fact. This is great….
Hi, I’m in need of new charger love the light weight blower , however we cannot charge the battery anymore, it’s only a year old. Help????
Did you ever find a charger? I lost mine. The blower works great and battery lasts a long time. I fit it in a black and decker charger, but it won’t charge it.

You get what u pay for….. it’s a $40 blower, u can’t ask for more. I can blow light debris from around my home, porches, deck, driveway, also clean lawnmower. If u need dbl duty then spend $200 on one. I would like to purchase a 2nd battery….does someone know where I can buy one.

No battery replacement available from Aldi, Merotec USA, or Fore Tools, the parts supplier. Worst purchase ever. We are forced to toss plastic blower into landfill when battery dies in 9 months, just after the m6 month warranty. Such a scam. Product warranty is indeed 3 years, but without a battery, it’s worthless.
I agree. My battery lasted about 4 uses. I can’t find a replacement or my original receipt. I have the box and manual for proof. Tempted to send it all back. If I can’t get a battery, it’s worthless to me. Loved the blower,
It is a cold December and I am still using my blower from May 2023 to blow my last remaining leaves. I have RA and it is lightweight and easy battery installation. The blower tube slenders down to the end creating more air force which I like. No this is not your high end professional blower but it does simply task. I just need to purchase a 2nd battery so I can work longer.

My battery died for good after one use. I did not keep my receipt so I am not happy.
We’ve had one for three years and it’s been great. The charger has died though and can’t seem to find a new one.

After one time use my blower Ferrex not working
just bought a ferrex cordless blower in a rush, model DCBL, code 717825. On the box it doesn’t say it is skin only, without charger, so a charger has to be found, which involves calling a support line which is not part of Aldi, and that does not guarantee a charger can be gotten. A blower without a charger is useless, sitting in dust.
They could make purchasing a product more hassle free for use.
Have had this blower for about two years. For what it cost, the unit works wonderfully. Only thing is that the battery does not last that long, maybe about 15 minutes. But I have other Ferrex battery powered tools (trimmer, pole saw) and their batteries will also work with this unit. All of my Ferrex tools are great values and highly recommended. If it no longer charges the issue is a bad cell in the battery pack; locate the bad cell with a volt meter, replace it, and you are good to go again!
I bought one last year, took it home and charged it up. When I went to use the blower it didn’t work. Initially the charging lights came on when it was plugged in to charge. But after I attempted to use it they no longer came on.
Aldis finds are generally decent. Yes, you get what you pay for. But in this case it was a complete waste of money.
Unanticipated use #177 discovered last night – escorting an uninvited wolf spider out of the house. Almost had it guided back out the door when it dashed under the fridge instead. Angled piece of cardboard as a backstop and a quick blast from the blower and it was out from under the fridge and out the door.
Mine’s a 2024 and going great. Don’t plan to blow wet, heavy leaves, but light debris is no problem, and you can do things like blow mosquitos away from the door before going in. And because it’s electric and small, you can use it indoors – the alternate uses are fantastic. Way faster to clean under furniture than moving it! Blow shed dog fur out of the house!
I picked up the trimmer on clearance this year (it’s ok but much less fun) and the charger/battery are indeed interchangeable. Someone above mentioned changing out bad battery cell – the folks at Batteries Plus or similar stores could likely help with that, and may be able to advice re: charger.
Battery lasts about 10 minutes. Waste of money.
