Ambiano Compact Ceramic Heater

Cold, I’ve learned, is a relative term. Fairbanks, Alaska, recently witnessed a low of -40 degrees (the same temperature in both Fahrenheit and Celsius), a temperature that, while not common, is also not unheard-of in that area. Around that same time, Orlando, Florida, experienced its own winter dip, with lows slipping into the 50s Fahrenheit. What passes for a cold snap can vary wildly from place to place.
Whatever your location and tolerances, indoor heat remains a godsend. Central heat is of course a huge help, but not every location has a quality furnace. This can be true in houses, but it can also be a problem in institutions. Not every office cubicle is suitably warm.
That’s where portable heat can help. Small units offer a source of heat that can be placed even in smaller settings. You can find such units at various retailers, including big box stores and hardware stores. Aldi, as part of its limited buy section, also sells portable heaters from time to time.
What We Know:
The Ambiano Compact Ceramic Heater is an Aldi Find. Each store gets one stock, and once it’s sold out, you can’t get it until it comes back, whenever that might be. If you can’t find it in stores, you’re out of luck for now and won’t be able to order it online.
In 2025, this heater sold for $14.99. That’s on the bottom end of prices compared to what we could find on Amazon.
In 2025, the heater came in black or white. It features an adjustable thermostat, two fan speed settings, and integrated tilt and overheat protection. It is a 1200W device.
What We Don’t Know:
We haven’t tested this particular ceramic heater, so we don’t know how quickly it heats up, how strong the heat output is, or how durable it is. We’ve created this open thread for users to share experiences.
Have you tried out this ceramic heater? Let us know all about it in the comments!

Great little heater for an office type space, or bathroom.
Lasted about 2 months. Now it wont run.
