Belavi 16 Inch Square Planter Box On Its Way to Aldi

Gardening comes in all shapes and sizes. On one end you’ve got spacious community gardens, with rows of whatever people want to cultivate. On the other you have tiny micro-gardens that can sit on a kitchen counter.
Most people who like to garden operate somewhere in between. They might, for instance, carve out a rectangular swath of the back yard for a few choice seeds. Or they might set up a greenhouse with a selection of pots.
Every gardener has different needs and different restrictions. Aldi, to its credit, rotates some interesting gardening accessories onto its shelves to meet many of those needs. That’s why we took notice when the grocer brought a moderately sized planter box into the mix.
What We Know:
The Belavi 16 Inch Square Planter Box is a limited-time Aldi Find. Each store gets a single shipment, and once that shipment is sold out, you won’t be able to find it again until it comes back, assuming it does come back at all. You can’t order it online if it’s sold out at your local store.
At the time of this post, Aldi sold the planter for $16.99. That’s lower than the boxes I can find on Amazon.
According to Aldi, features include:
- Available in Black and White
- Dimensions: 16″ L x 16″ W x 16″ H
- Snap pieces together for quick and easy assembly
- Lightweight and durable UV-resistant plastic construction
- Potted plants should be placed directly into the planter box
- Great for outdoor plants and flowers in garden and patio areas
What We Don’t Know:
We haven’t put this box to the plant test as of yet, so we don’t know how sturdy it is, especially if it’s exposed to the outdoor elements. That’s why we’ve created this open thread for users to share experiences.
Have you tried out this planter? Let us know about it in the comments.
