To use a common internet expression: I was this many days old when I discovered roll top tables.
In other words: until I saw this in the weekly Aldi ad, I had never heard of or seen one of these before.
A roll top table, it turns out, is a portable table. When it is time to put it away, the planks that make up top of the table literally roll up for easy storage in a bag. The table operates kind of like certain types of picket fences or chain link fences that are sold rolled up and are then unrolled during installation. These tables are ideal for camping excursions and can also be useful in situations where some temporary table space is needed.
In the summer of 2023, Aldi sold one of these for the first time.
What We Know:
The Belavi Wooden Roll Top Portable Table (Product Code: 707096) is an Aldi Find. It’s only in stores for a short time, and once each store sells out, you won’t be able to get it until it comes back, which could be next year or not at all. Aldi does not offer online ordering for products not currently in stock at your local store.
At the time of this post, the table costs $29.99. Most of these tables I can find online are far more expensive, with the few exceptions being pretty small.

- Features water-sealed hardwood
- Offers quick and easy assembly
- Portable design: rolls for storage
What We Don’t Know:
We haven’t tested this table, so we don’t know how easily it assembles, how sturdy it is, how simple it is to take down, or how long it lasts. We’ve created this open thread for users to share their experiences.

I have a table like this one made of metal. Buyers should note that this is a coffee table height, not dining height like mine.
When i saw this table I wanted it. But not the coffee table height. thanks, I would have been upset to make a wasted trip
I bought one today because it’s on clearance for $14.99 but I’m taking it back because I didn’t realize that it was coffee table height. The wood is beautiful though!
Just bought this on clearance. For 14.99 I’m happy – didn’t realize I would have to assemble it vs it folding out but that’s ok. It’s a little orangey. It’s a nice size -bigger than others I was looking at – and I like the height – will be using it with camping chairs. I like how it takes up the same space as a folding chair.
