It’s that time of year when many of us are spending a lot of time indoors because it’s cold outside. I enjoy winter hikes, ice skating, and other cold-weather activities when I’m properly dressed to protect against the elements. But there’s a limit to how much time you can spend outdoors, and you need some entertainment while inside. There are always television shows and movies, phones and the internet, crafts, or other hobbies.
Another longstanding classic form of indoor entertainment is a tabletop game. I grew up playing Sorry, Candyland, checkers, chess, and Connect 4. My family is fond of the Game of Life.
Aldi is selling an array of tabletop games just in time to ease our winter doldrums … or to give as holiday gifts. These games have the added advantage of being made out of wood for a classy look. You have your choice of Bean Bag Toss, Four in a Row, Toppling Blocks, Shut the Box, Roll and Score, or Ring and Hook.
What We Know:
Crane Tabletop Wood Games (Product Code: 705395) are an Aldi Find, which means they’re only in stores for a short time. Each store receives one shipment, and after that sells out, they’re gone until next year, if Aldi decides to bring them back then. You can’t order these games online from Aldi if they’re not currently in stock at your local store.
These are scheduled to arrive in Aldi stores on December 6th, 2023.
The Crane Tabletop Wood Games cost $9.99 each at the time of publication. This is the same price Aldi sold these games for in December of 2022. That price is also less than other similar wooden tabletop games I found online.
