EDITOR’S NOTE: Updated for 2023.
When I was a kid, my favorite games included checkers, Sorry (we owned a Disney-themed version), and Candy Land. As I grew older, I also enjoyed chess. It’s been fun to introduce my kids to some of the games I loved when I was younger. Popular games in my house also include Connect 4 (previously known as Connect Four) with its unique vertical game board and red and black playing pieces. My family also likes playing Jenga, which consists of strategically removing wooden blocks from a tower without causing the tower to fall down.
For the past couple of summers, Aldi has offered giant-sized versions of some of these favorite games. In particular, Aldi sells an oversized version of Connect 4 (Aldi calls it Giant Wooden 4-in-a-Row) and an oversized version of Jenga (which Aldi calls it Giant Toppling Blocks).
Both of these large games are sold under the Aldi Crane private label, which includes exercise gear, outdoor recreation, indoor sports, athletic apparel and shoes, and some camping or beach accessories.
What We Know:
Crane Giant Toppling Blocks or 4-in-a-Row (Product Code: 11012) cost $34.99 each in May of 2023. That’s less than the $44.99 they sold for in May of 2022. This is another example of Aldi quietly dropping prices on certain Aldi Finds. It’s also a lot less than oversized Connect 4 games on Amazon, and it’s on the lower end of prices for oversized Jenga games on Amazon.
These are Aldi Finds, so they’re only in stores for a short time. Each store gets one shipment, and it lasts until they sell out. Aldi does not offer online ordering for products that aren’t in stock at your local store.
Both the toppling blocks set and the 4-in-a-row set include a carry bag for easy storage and transport. They are ideal for indoor or outdoor play.
Here’s more information, according to Aldi:
Giant Toppling Blocks
- Tower starts at 27.6″ H
- Includes 51 solid wood blocks
- Measures 7.62″ x 2.36″ x 1.625″
- Made of high-quality natural wood
Giant Wooden 4-in-a-Row
- Game board measures 24″ x 17″
- Features durable, premium pine wood construction
- Includes 42 solid plastic coins
- Features durable legs with coin storage system for better stability
Aldi has not given any indication that this year’s giant games have any kind of warranty, but previous year’s games came with a two-year warranty.
What We Don’t Know:
We haven’t yet tried the Crane Giant Toppling Blocks or 4-in-a-Row, so we don’t know how well they work or how durable they are. We write open threads so readers can share about their experiences with a product.

The Aldis in my area (I saw these games in two separate stores) is selling them for 22.99 each as their regular price (not even a markdown!)
