FACT CHECK: Has Aldi Discontinued Blossom Pads, Liners, and Tampons?
For years, pads, liners, and tampons have been staples in the small personal care aisle at Aldi. They were cheap, and they typically did what they needed to do. I liked them enough that I rarely bought other brands.
But this summer, feminine hygiene supplies of all kinds — both Aldi-brand Blossom and name-brand Tampax — seem to be scarce at Aldi stores. So, what’s up with Aldi feminine hygiene products?
We contacted the grocer directly by messaging customer service through Facebook, and Aldi told us the products have been discontinued, with no plans to bring them back.
Keep reading for our full coverage (pun intended) of the Aldi pad situation.
Background:
Aldi has sold feminine hygiene supplies for years under its Blossom house brand. The selection has included pads for both day and night, liners, and even tampons. At some point within the last year or two, Aldi seems to have quietly stopped selling Blossom tampons, but they carried small boxes of name-brand Tampax tampons in their place, and Aldi continued to sell Blossom pads and Blossom liners. The Blossom brand was exclusive to Aldi, so you won’t see Blossom products anywhere else.
(Side note: Aldi also sold Blossom incontinence products for a short time a few years ago. Those are the only other products we can recall seeing under the Blossom house brand name. Those products were discontinued at some point.)
The situation with Aldi feminine hygiene products changed during the summer of 2024.
Sometime during the summer of 2024, the supply of all period products — both Aldi house brand and name brand — began to dwindle at Aldi. Sometimes I’d find thin daytime pads but not the big, thick overnight ones. On another day, I might find boxes of liners but no pads at all. Or I might find a few lonely boxes of Tampax and nothing else. I picked up whatever I could find at Aldi and had to buy the rest at other stores.
It’s gotten to the point now, in late summer of 2024, where I am finding few or zero feminine hygiene supplies at my local Aldi stores.
At the main store where I shop, the shelf currently looks like this:

And at my next-nearest Aldi store, this week there are no feminine hygiene products on the personal care product shelf at all. There isn’t even an empty shelf with price tags indicating where those products should be. They’re just gone without a trace.

I am not alone in wondering what has happened to Aldi pads and liners. Aldi customers on Reddit threads have questioned where their favorite budget hygiene items have gone. I also found a post with a lengthy comment thread on an Aldi-themed Facebook fan group:

What Aldi Told Us:
I wondered what was up, so I decided to reach out to Aldi. I messaged them through their official Facebook page and asked if their pads, liners, and tampons would be returning to my local stores.
Aldi messaged me back, and here’s how our conversation went:

I asked if the Blossom pads, liners, and tampons would be returning to Aldi.
Aldi answered: “Looks like they have been discontinued and there are no plans for them to return at the moment. 💔” Aldi even included a broken heart emoji in their response to my question.
So, Aldi house brand feminine hygiene products are gone, with no plans to bring them back, according to Aldi.
We’re not sure what prompted Aldi to stop selling these products. It could be an issue with a supplier, a cost issue, or something else.
Closing Thoughts:
Aldi Blossom feminine hygiene products, including pads and liners, along with name-brand Tampax tampons, began disappearing from many store shelves during the summer of 2024.
We messaged Aldi in early August of 2024 via their Facebook page for more information. Aldi told us its Blossom feminine hygiene products have been discontinued, with no plans to bring them back into stores.
We don’t know why these products are discontinued. What we do know is that you’ll have to purchase period supplies such as pads, tampons, and liners at other retailers now.

Bring back blossom panty liners
They won’t. Must be a corporate decision made with no thought given to customer convenience & price point.
Women should stop shopping at Aldi’s I go there mainly for femine products. Pick up everything else as needed. Unless they have some great excuse. It is just wrong. Personal products now cost a fortune maybe they just want us to use rags and boil them on the stove. I am very unhappy!
Extremely disappointed that Aldi’s no longer sells bladder pads. Due to price increases in other stores I always bought my supply at Aldi’s. Last 2 shopping trips there were none on shelf. Prices rising & supply decreasing. Can’t believe that they wouldn’t make money selling the hygiene products. I noticed there was a supply of diapers on shelf.
I agree, they were exceptional values and I guess Aldi doesn’t consider the consumer! Never expected that!
Very very disappointed that these products are no longer available at ALDIs. This is a major marketing failure!! I shopped at ALDI exclusively for these products! I know I’m not alone in this . I now have no reason to go there. Note to other women- there is a reasonable facsimile at Walmart for about $5. Goodbye to Aldi!😡
I am so disappointed that Aldi’s discontinued the feminine products. The panty liners were one of the few brands that irritated my skin. However, with how they faded the product (s) out with no explanation, it makes me wonder if there was something compromising in the materials used. I sure hope not but why else would they eliminate what was a good seller for them?
WOMEN UNITE!!! STOP SHOPPING AT ALDI STORES IN PROTEST OF DISCONTINUING SALE OF BLOSSOM SANITARY PADS. SHAME ON ALDI’S CORPORATE, MISOGYNISTIC DECISION TO REMOVE WOMEN’S SANITARY PADS FROM THEIR INVENTORY.
YES!
Can’t find BLOSSOM products anymore in Pennsylvania. These pads drew me into the store and I always then walked out with a cart full of other items as well. Guess I won’t be shopping at ALDI any longer. Perhaps they will notice their sales going down because of this and bring back this excellent product.
Sure wish Aldi would listen to their female customers and bring back the Blossom products!
I know, I seriously just don’t understand 😪😭😭😪
Im so frustrated, this was my go to for my daughter and self for pads. I just had a baby so I didn’t realise until recently this happened. Im so disappointed. Ironically I asked my husband to get some a few times and he kept saying they weren’t there and I didn’t believe him. This prompted my investigation and low and behold I find out online. The least they could do is give us a reason. The blossom brand was extremely affordable and worked amazingly for me it was a staple. Come on Aldi please reconsider a lot of women and families have depended on these femine products for years.
As a lifelong heavy bleeder, I love Blossom’s overnight pads. I just used my last ones this month😢. Thier products were gentle on my sensitive lady area, and I loved seeing that 100% cotton on the bag. Now it’s back to those who shall not be named😭.
Why did Aldis s5top sailing The Blossom Multi Channel Maxi pads/ I’ve been buying them for a long time. why can’t they put them back in their stores.
this is incredibly sad, all I used was the thin overnight pads since my period started, they never once leaked or gave me rash- but everything else does, I hope aldi figures it out soon and makes plans to bring them back 💔
this is so disappointing
I stocked up when I realized they were becoming difficult to find between the 2 ALDI’s most convenient to me. I’ve also noted some grocery products that are hit or miss in the last couple of months. At least when produce and the chocolate bars were in short supply at Aldi‘s, I would stop at Winn-Dixie on my way home and pick up what I needed. Winn-Dixie was purchased by Aldi’s. They are being turned into Aldi’s so my back up plan is shot. I’m glad one of the commenters made a suggestion of pads available at Walmart that she finds to be similar but, alas, more expensive. The Aldi’s mystique is fading fast.
I’ve been shopping at Aldi for over 15 years. I got my kids hooked on Aldi as well. I cannot believe they would get rid of the feminine products and the incontinence products. These were good products at a great price. People NEED these products.
I don’t have the money to go to the grocery store or CVS or Walgreens for these types of products. I am not sure what the alternative is, but I may have to stop shopping at Aldi altogether. Please bring the Blossoms label back!
