Spring is here, and that means gradually warmer temperatures. Emphasis on gradually. One spring day might be mild enough to throw open the windows and wear short sleeves or even shorts. Another spring day might be gloomy and chilly, prompting you to put off packing away winter sweaters.

While bonfires, fire pits, and outdoor heaters might seem like more of a fall thing, they can actually be quite useful during the spring as well. It’s a time of year when we’re ready to shake off the winter and get outdoors more, but we also want to be comfortable.

Aldi sells a variety of products for keeping warm while you’re outside. Most recently, I spotted a portable outdoor heater in the discount grocery store’s weekly ad.

What We Know:

Gardenline 800-Watt Portable Outdoor Heater

The Gardenline 800-Watt Portable Outdoor Heater (Product Code: 819784) cost $69.99 in April of 2023. That’s $10 less than what Aldi sold it for in March of 2022. This appears to be part of a trend we’ve seen lately in which Aldi is quietly dropping prices on certain Aldi Finds.

That price also seems to be competitively priced for an outdoor heater, with a lot of other portable heaters going for a lot more money on Amazon.

This is an Aldi Find. That means it’s only in stores for a limited time. Each store gets one shipment, and after that sells out, it’s gone. Aldi does not offer online ordering for products that are not in stock at your local store.

This is sold under the Gardenline brand. Gardenline is not a company. Instead, it’s the private label Aldi uses for various gardening and outdoor products such as drop over greenhouses, garden seeds, garden soil, and more. It’s less common to see Aldi sell patio accessories under the Gardenline brand, as Aldi typically sells patio items under its Belavi house brand. However, Aldi has previously sold a similar-looking but higher-wattage patio heater under its Gardenline brand.

Here’s more information about the 800-watt heater, according to Aldi:

  • Suitable for indoor and outdoor use
  • Waterproof
  • Built-in handle allows for easy carrying and portability
  • Offers tip over and overheating protection
  • Height: 21.3″
  • Cord length: 5.9′
  • 120V, 60Hz
  • Includes touch button for setting
  • Comes with carbon fiber heating tube

When Aldi sold this heater in 2022, it came with a two-year warranty. At the time of publication, Aldi had not published updated information about whether this year’s model comes with a warranty.

What We Don’t Know:

We have not purchased this outdoor heater, so we don’t know how well it heats up a space, how easy it is to use, or how long it lasts. We write open threads so readers have a space to talk about Aldi products.

  1. I just thought I would contribute to this post by adding that I did purchase this outdoor heater last year. I was so excited to have it and use outside to be more comfortable as it switches from
Being chillly to warmer temperatures outside. I used it 2 times. And it stopped working! I could not believe it. I was so disappointed. I tried everything and was in disbelief. I was able to return it because it was within 2 weeks of me purchasing it. I hope this helps to add. It was not made well.

  2. These heaters are $17.49 today—at least in southern ca.
The exterior of the box says it has a 2-year warranty.

  3. Excited to see the heaters returning this year (2023). I hope later my review will read different than Stephanie’s. Meaning fingers crossed that they last more than a couple of times. Oh, purchased for 17.49. SCORE!!

  4. I’m wondering why #20 under General Safety Warning states Do Not use this appliance outdoors, or on wet surfaces if the package and Owners Manual state it is a portable outdoor heater.
