Get Coffee Shop Vibes with the Aldi Huntington Home Glass Coffee Candles

We’ve written a lot on Aldi Reviewer about the various coffees, coffee makers, and coffee-making accessories at our favorite discount grocery store.

Besides actual coffee and coffee makers, Aldi seems to have fun occasionally selling kitschy products that appeal to coffee fans. Over the years, I’ve seen decorative signs a person might hang over their home coffee-making station, with slogans such as “Life happens. Coffee Helps.” or “I didn’t choose the mug life. The mug life chose me.” I’ve also spotted whimsical mugs and cushy kitchen mats with coffee-themed sayings, along with special canisters with labels for holding coffee, tea, sugar, etc.

One coffee-themed product that always appears to be popular at Aldi is candles. I’ve purchased several candles with various coffee scents at Aldi in the past. When the most recent Aldi ad dropped earlier this week, I noticed Aldi is selling a new array of candles with different coffee scents.

What We Know:

Huntington Home Glass Coffee Candle

The Huntington Home Dirty Chai Glass Coffee Candle.

The Huntington Home Glass Coffee Candles (Product Code: 710688) are Aldi Finds, which means they’re only in stores for a short time. Each store receives one shipment, and after that sells out, they’re gone unless Aldi decides to bring them back at some later time. Aldi does not offer online ordering for products that are sold out at your local store.

These are scheduled to arrive in Aldi stores on January 17th, 2024.

The Huntington Home Glass Coffee Candles cost $4.99 for an 8-ounce candle. That’s less than what a lot of other coffee-scented candles go for on Amazon.

These candles come in clear glass mugs, which the Aldi ad says are reusable. (To learn how you can clean out the old wax and repurpose old candle jars, read our post here.)

These candles come in three scents in different shades of brown:

  • Vanilla Affogato (light brown)
  • Dirty Chai Coffee (medium brown)
  • Milk Chocolate Mocha (dark brown)

The candles all have a single wick, and they feature a lighter-colored layer of wax on top to simulate the foam you might see in your favorite coffee shop drink.

These candles are sold under the Huntington Home brand. This is not a company. Instead, it’s the private label Aldi puts on its various home goods.

What We Don’t Know:

I haven’t yet purchased these candles, so I don’t know how well they burn, how good they smell, or how strongly they are scented. I also don’t yet know what these candles are made of, although many Aldi candles feature a soy blend. I plan to purchase some of these as soon as they arrive in my local stores. In the meantime, we write open threads to provide readers with a place to discuss Aldi products.

  1. Can you microwave/dishwasher mug after wax is cleaned out? It’s this a safe mug for hot drinks?

    • The labels on the bottoms of the candles don’t say anything about that. I personally don’t reuse old candle jars for food or drink just to be on the safe side because they weren’t originally made for that purpose.
