EDITOR’S NOTE: Updated for 2025.
Aldi is a great place to get your coffee fix. The grocer sells various coffees and creamers, and they also rotate different types of coffee makers and other gadgets that make caffeinated beverages onto their shelves. Over the years, Aldi has sold a single serve coffee maker, a 12-cup programmable coffee maker, and even an espresso maker. Aldi also sometimes sells coffee accessories such as a milk frother.
Aldi has been known to sell cold brew coffee makers at different times as well. Aldi sold an electric Ambiano Cold Brew Coffee Maker for $39.99 in 2019.
We’ve also seen a less expensive non-electric Crofton Cold Brew Coffee System several times. That less pricey cold brew coffee system has returned to Aldi again, and we’re taking a look at it here.
Cold brew coffee — as the name suggests — is coffee that has been brewed with cold or room-temperature water rather than hot water. It has a longer steeping time of approximately 12-24 hours, so patience is important. Cold brew coffee has a flavor that is smooth, rich, and heavy, with low acidity. Cold brew is different from iced coffee, which is simply coffee made hot and then cooled and poured over ice.
What We Know:

The Crofton Cold Brew Coffee System cost $9.99 in May of 2025. It also sold for $9.99 in May of 2024 and May of 2023. It was $12.99 in June of 2022. It’s less than most other cold brew coffee systems on Amazon.
This is an Aldi Find, so it’s only in stores for a short time. Each store gets one shipment, and once that sells out, it’s gone. Aldi does not offer online ordering for products that aren’t in stock at your local store.
This is scheduled to arrive in stores on May 14th, 2025.
In 2025, the system is available in black, blue, gray, or red.
Aldi has not shared details about the cold brew system in 2025, but here’s what Aldi shared back in 2024:
- Features an easy pour spout
- Includes a wide, easy-to-clean opening
- Has a silicone grip
- Includes BPA free pitcher
- Makes 4 servings of coffee
- Comes with glass pitcher with stainless steel filter
It does not appear to come with any kind of warranty.
What We Don’t Know:
We haven’t yet tried the Crofton Cold Brew Coffee System, so we don’t know how well it works or how reliable or durable it is. We write open threads so readers can share their thoughts about Aldi products.

Be careful holding it. It shattered in my hand. I use a 2 quart mason jar now instead.
I got one of the earlier ones to try and wished I’d gotten an extra to gift. Love it for summer. I also use my keurig for iced coffee but it uses a lot of ice and this is stronger and keeps fine in my fridge door. The glass is not thin so I’m surprised it shattered.
This is returning to Aldi for a limited time the week of May 15th, 2024.
Can anyone offer pics on how this is assembled to begin the brewing process? There are no instructions beyond the steps on the outside of the box, and nothing seems to fit into the top of the carafe except the top. Looking forward to using it soon.

This method uses a lot more coffe than hot brewing. Costco has dark roast fine grind Kirkland brand decaf coffee in 3# cans, possibly the least expensive way to make this stuff if decaf’s your Jones. Less for regular. Still, it’s now $7# at this writing, 5/8/25, up from $5+ a year ago.
I just use my an old French Press from the 1990s and it does the job fine. Cold brewing is not complicated.
I got one last year and I love it, makes strong coffee!
