Mama Cozzi’s Thin Crust Jalapeño Popper Pizza

I’ve been enjoying more foods that are moderately spicy recently. I’ve long liked Indian food, and I’m also fond of Thai food. In addition, the hot honey mac & cheese that Aldi sold the other week as a limited-time special was a hit of among the spicy food fans in my house.

This week, Aldi is selling more food that caters to people who like a little heat. That includes this jalapeño popper pizza. The package says this is topped with creamy roasted garlic sauce, low-moisture mozzarella and cheddar cheeses, jalapeño and green peppers, green onions, and breadcrumbs.

Mama Cozzi’s Thin Crust Jalapeño Popper Pizza is an Aldi Find, which means it’s in stores for a short time only. Each store should receive one shipment, and after that sells out, it’s gone unless Aldi decides to bring it back later. Aldi does not offer online ordering for products that are out of stock at your local store.

I bought this with my own funds and paid $4.29 for a 14.15-ounce pizza in 2025. That comes out to about 30 cents per ounce.

Mama Cozzi’s is the Aldi house brand for pizza. It’s not a company; just a name Aldi puts on its pizzas, which it sources from various suppliers.

If you’re looking out for allergens, this contains wheat, milk, and soy.

One pizza has about three servings. One serving has 290 calories, 12 grams of total fat (15% DV), 7 grams of saturated fat (35% DV), 550 mg of sodium (24% DV), 30 grams of total carbohydrates (11% DV), 1 gram of dietary fiber (4% DV), 3 grams of total sugars, no added sugars, and 14 grams of protein.

The box has directions for baking this in a conventional oven. Preheat the oven to 425 degrees. Remove the pizza from packaging and place the frozen pizza directly on the middle rack in the oven. (I used a pizza pan.) Bake for 12-15 minutes until cheese is melted and the edges are golden brown.

This pizza smelled delicious while it was baking, and it tasted just as good. It has a thin, crispy crust with a savory, creamy garlic sauce in lieu of traditional tomato-based pizza sauce. It has plenty of cheese and peppers, and it’s mild in terms of spiciness, with occasional spicier bites here and there if you happen to get a particularly hot pepper. I couldn’t really see or taste the breadcrumbs, and I think they just sort of melted into the cheese when the pizza baked.

The Verdict:

Mama Cozzi’s Thin Crust Jalapeño Popper Pizza is a fantastic frozen pizza if you like jalapeños or spicy food. It hits all the right notes: crispy crust, creamy garlic sauce, lots of cheese, and just the right amount of kick from the peppers. We’d buy this one again.
