Aldi has a lot of refrigerated orange juice choices considering that it’s a limited-inventory grocery store. You can find high pulp and no pulp options, light options, organic options, and gallon-sized from concentrate options. Aldi also carries combo options that feature blends of orange juice with pineapple or mango.
My favorite orange juice at Aldi is their Nature’s Nectar Orange Juice with Calcium & Vitamin D. It has no pulp, which I prefer, and it has the benefit of offering a boost of calcium and vitamin D, which most of us can benefit from.
Nature’s Nectar Orange Juice with Calcium & Vitamin D is a Regular Buy, which means you should be able to find it all year at Aldi. It’s stocked in the refrigerator case with other orange juices.
Nature’s Nectar Orange Juice with Calcium & Vitamin D cost $3.29 at the time of writing for a 52-fluid-ounce (1.53L) bottle. That comes out to about 6 cents per ounce.
For comparison, a 52-ounce bottle of Simply Orange juice and a 52-ounce bottle of Tropicana Original orange juice both cost about 8 cents per ounce at Walmart at the time of writing. A half-gallon 64-ounce jug of Great Value Original 100% Orange Juice cost about 6 cents per ounce at Walmart at the time of writing, which is the same price per ounce as this Aldi OJ.
The Aldi juice label states this is “never from concentrate.” This is pasteurized, kosher certified, and contains 100% juice. It also contains no pulp.
Ingredients include orange juice, calcium citrate and calcium lactate (calcium sources), and vitamin D. This contains orange juice from the USA and from Brazil.
One bottle contains about seven 8-ounce servings. One serving has 110 calories and no fat, cholesterol, or sodium. It also has 26 grams of total carbohydrates (9% DV), less than 1 gram of dietary fiber (3% DV), 25 grams of total sugars, no added sugars, and 2 grams of protein.
It contains 2.5 mcg of vitamin D (15% DV) and 315 mg of calcium (25% DV). For comparison, a bottle of regular Nature’s Nectar Orange Juice at Aldi without the added nutrients contains only 30 mg of calcium (2% DV) and has no vitamin D.
The label states to keep this refrigerated and to shake well before serving. It should be consumed with 7-10 days of opening.
This tastes like orange juice. It’s tart. It’s mildly sweet. It’s smooth. It’s a favorite of family breakfasts or brunches, and we’ve even taken it to some potlucks where it always goes over well. If it’s orange juice you want, this is a good choice.
The Verdict:
Nature’s Nectar Orange Juice with Calcium and Vitamin D is a never-from-concentrate, no pulp refrigerated OJ option at Aldi. It’s 100% juice with the benefit of some extra calcium and vitamin D. This is what we usually pick up from Aldi when we want orange juice, and it’s a good option.
