Open Thread: Gardenline Power Blaster

It’s spring cleaning season, and that includes cleaning up outdoor spaces. In addition to selling patio furniture and decor to spruce up your outdoor living areas, Aldi also sells products to help you do some deep cleaning of those areas. Specifically, if you’re looking to do some cleaning with high-pressure water, Aldi sells the Gardenline Power Blaster.

What We Know:

Gardenline Power Blaster

The Gardenline Power Blaster (product code 55712) cost $12.99 in May of 2020. It’s an Aldi Find, which means it’s only in stores for a short time.

Aldi sold the power blaster for $9.99 during the spring of 2019 and 2018, so the price has gone up by $3 this year.

This claims to convert a standard garden hose into a power washer of sorts. Potential uses might include cleaning dirt and/or mold off of decks, patios, siding, outdoor furniture or toys, boats, and more.

Features for the 2020 model include:

  • Ability to connect to any standard hose for high-pressure power
  • 2 nozzles for wide and narrow streams
  • Heavy duty and rust resistant
  • For use around the home and all outdoor cleanups

We assume this year’s model comes with a warranty, but we don’t yet know for sure. Aldi’s website has warranty information for the 2018 power blaster, which came with a two-year warranty serviced by Ray Padula, which sells products at Home Depot. Aldi has sold some other lawn and garden items with connections to Ray Padula, including the Gardenline Telescopic Watering Wand with Gutter Blaster.

What We Don’t Know:

We have not used Aldi’s power blaster, so we can’t speak to how well it works or how powerful a spray it puts out. We also don’t know details yet about what kind of warranty this may come with.

  1. I purchased the Ferrex blower a few months ago. It is great, but I would like to purchase a spare battery. Can you please help me?

  2. The Gardenline Power Blaster is awful. The one I purchased will not screw on correctly and water spews out of other areas of the wand and it doesn’t have the spray nozzle options that it says it does. I’m very upset and disappointed. I have always loved every I ever purchased from there and I always always get amazing customer service at my local store. Hopefully calling customer service will help and they will help fix my issue.

  3. Everything is connected, the water is turned on, and the hose is not kinked, but I can’t get water to come out of the wand. What am I doing wrong?

    • Did you turn the lever in the on position? The lever shuts the water on and off. Mine was in the off position when hooking it up.

  4. Just bought one yesterday and was excited to use it today. Unfortunately it didn’t work well. I was hoping to clean the mildew off my patio furniture and siding but not enough power! Very disappointed

  5. Thanks, Ann! Apparently, the lever was stuck; my husband was able to free it up to get the water running. I have been enjoying using it!

  6. This power blaster works great! Good as a pressure washer? No. But for smaller jobs it works well. I just cleaned my wooden fence with it and I like it. I purchased mine for $14.99 on July 16, 2022. If it goes down in price I will take the packaging and receipt back to store to receive the difference back
