Winter’s end is in sight, and with it comes more and more venturing outdoors. For dogs in particular, going outside never really ended: unlike cats, they need to get outside, both to use the facilities and to get exercise.

Even so, it’s easy to slack off on pet grooming during the gloomy winter months. Now that the days are getting longer, Aldi is apparently sending the subtle suggestion that it’s time make your furry loved one look cute again.

What We Know:

Heart to Tail Pet Grooming KitThe Heart to Tail Pet Grooming Kit (product code 700748) is an ALDI Find, which means it’s only in stores for a short time. It costs $24.99, which looks like a very competitive price considering what you get for the cost. Aldi has been selling a pet grooming kit for a few years now, originally under the Shep label and now under Heart to Tail.

So what do you get? It’s a 14-piece set that includes:

  • A pet hair brush
  • A pet comb
  • Nail clippers
  • A file
  • Scissors
  • A hair clipper made of high carbon steel
  • 4 comb attachments for the hair clipper: 1/8 inch, 1/4 inch, 3/8 inch, and 1/2 inch
  • Oil for the clipper
  • A hard storage case
  • A manual

The set also comes with a 3-year warranty.

What We Don’t Know:

As with all open threads, we’ve created this one because we haven’t used this set. If you have, we’d certainly love to hear your thoughts in the comments.

  1. I need the red 1/8” anyway I could purchase just that attachment in the dog grooming set

  2. Barbara Phillippi

I just purchased the Heart-to-Tail pat grooming kit at a South Florida ALDI’s. Wow. Had previously used a hundred dollar similar clipper belonging to a friend. This one is just fine for grooming my two rough coat Jack Russell Terriers. Very satisfied, gets thru the wire like hair in a jiffy. Very sturdy, has good feel in the hand and adjustments. I paid $16.99, and considering the features, it was a steal!

  3. Bought this item and used it once, no complaints so far but was wondering if there are replacement parts and blades… if so where…

  4. I bought this and not having any luck with it cutting my dogs hair. She is a sheltie Shih Tzu mix. I waited too long to use it now I cannot take it back.

  5. I needed a replacement cable for the red one and could not get one.
