Whether you enjoy lounging in your pajamas on the weekends or if you live in a colder climate where layering is a necessity, a robe is a useful part of anyone’s at-home wardrobe. When I’m stuck in the depths of winter, I don’t want a lightweight robe either. I want something plush and thick and comfortable. Aldi recently sold the perfect wintertime robe, and I decided it was time to replace the older robe I’d been wearing for several years.
The Serra Lounge Wear Ladies Microplush Bathrobe (Product Code: 48758) cost $14.99 at the time of publication. Aldi also sold a Royal Class Men’s Micro Plush Bath Robe for $14.99 at the same time as the women’s robe, but this review deals only with the women’s robe.
The robes came in several colors, and I got the gray one. The sizing is fairly simple: women who typically wear a size 4-10 can wear a small/medium robe, and women who wear a size 12-18 can wear a large/extra large robe. I usually wear a medium in clothing and got the small/medium robe, which fits fine.
Here’s more information about the robe:
- In February of 2022, it was available in Blush in Sizes S/M–L/XL, Navy in Sizes S/M–L/XL, or Gray in Sizes S/M–L/XL
- Luxuriously soft with a mid-calf length
- Features warm plush fleece
- Includes dual hip pockets
- Styled with a shawl collar
- Made of 100% polyester fleece
- OEKO-TEX certified
- Made in China
This should be machine washed in cold water on the gentle cycle. It can be tumbled dry on low heat. Remove promptly from the dryer, and do not iron.
This robe is super soft and comfortable, and the pockets are a nice addition. I’m 5’6″, which is slightly taller than average, and the robe is long on me, definitely covering a good part of my calves. Sometimes inexpensive clothing can have sleeves that are on the shorter side for me, and while the sleeves on this robe don’t fully cover my wrists when I bend my arms, these sleeves actually over more coverage than my older robe purchased from a department store, so I’m happy.
This robe doesn’t feel quite as thick or as warm as my older robe from a department store, but it’s still pretty warm on cold winter nights in the Midwest.
I’m never quite sure what I’m getting when I buy clothes from Aldi. Sometimes they fit well and sometimes not so much. But this robe is pretty close to perfect. If you’re in need of a robe, hurry up and get one of these from Aldi before they’re gone.
The Serra Lounge Wear Ladies Microplush Bathrobe is soft and warm, offering coverage down to the middle of your calves to keep you cozy. The dual hip pockets are an added bonus. Highly recommended.
