Simply Nature Freeze Dried Strawberries

Snacks in my house tend to be healthier foods such as nuts, cheese, fruit, or veggies. While most of the fruit we eat is fresh, we’ve also discovered some freeze-dried strawberries at Aldi that have quickly become a favorite.

Simply Nature Freeze Dried Strawberries are a Regular Buy. That means you should be able to find them at Aldi all year. I usually find these stocked near the nuts and trail mix.

We buy Aldi products for review using our own funds, and I paid $2.59 for a 10-ounce bag at my local store in 2025. That comes out to about 26 cents per ounce. It’s not a large bag, so these can feel a bit pricey, but you’re paying for the convenience of having someone freeze dry the fruit.

These are kosher, and they’re also verified non GMO. The package says they’re a product of Chile, Egypt, Morocco, the U.S., Mexico, Poland, and China.

The only ingredient listed is strawberries.

If you’re looking out for allergens, these may contain tree nuts, wheat, soy, and milk.

One bag is considered one serving. One bag has 100 calories, 1 gram of total fat (1% DV), 23 grams of total carbohydrates (8% DV), 6 grams of dietary fiber (21% DV), 15 grams of total sugars, and 2 grams of protein.

These should be stored in a cool, dark place.

These have a crispy texture that makes for good snacking. We also like to add these to the Fit & Active Vitality Cereal with Red Berries that Aldi sells. That cereal already contains some dried strawberries, and it can be nice to supplement with more strawberries.

The Verdict:

Simply Nature Freeze Dried Strawberries contain only strawberries. They’ve got a good amount of fiber and make a healthy snack or a good addition to certain cereals or other foods. We recommend these.

  1. I make fruit compotes all the time to put on plain Greek yogurt, and my main summer one is strawberry. I throw a few of these into the pan (along with fresh strawberries) when the fresh strawberries are less than super flavorful. These dehydrated ones really help to boost the flavor!

  2. I use Quick Oats as instant oatmeal, and every now and then I like to add some of these freeze-dried strawberries (or the freeze-dried apples), and a little half-and-half to it.
