Simply Nature Knock Your Sprouts Off Sprouted 7 Grain Bread

We’ve been looking for some healthier options in the bread aisle lately. My husband and I like bread that’s made with whole grains and has a good carbs-to-fiber ratio. We’re fans of the Graintastic and Seedtastic breads Aldi sells.
I also recently discovered sprouted 7 grain bread at Aldi. Sprouted grain bread is made from whole grains, or seeds, that have germinated. Sprouting improves the nutritional value and may make the grains easier to digest. It comes with a range of benefits, including a lower carb count that might help with weight and blood sugar management. Common name-brand sprouted grain breads include Dave’s Killer Bread and Ezekiel 4:9.
Aldi sells sprouted grain bread under its Simply Nature house brand, which is not a company. It’s the name Aldi puts on many of its organic products, which it sources from various suppliers.
This sprouted grain bread comes in two varieties: regular and reduced sodium. I bought a loaf of each to try at home.

Simply Nature Organic Knock Your Sprouts Off Sprouted 7 Grain Bread is a Regular Buy. That means you should be able to find it at Aldi all year.
We buy Aldi products for review using our own money. I paid $3.69 for each 16-ounce loaf of Knock Your Sprouts Off bread that I bought in March of 2025. That comes out to about 23 cents per ounce. This is one of the pricier breads in the Aldi bread aisle, but it’s also one of the healthiest options.
For comparison, I found Dave’s Killer Bread Sprouted Whole Grains bread selling for around 27 cents per ounce at Walmart in 2025. I also found Ezekiel sprouted bread for around 28 cents per ounce at Walmart.
This Aldi bread is dairy and egg free. It’s honey sweetened, with 1 gram of added sugar per serving. The bread is kosher and is certified non-GMO. It’s USDA Organic and is certified organic by Americert International.
It also features 13 grams of whole grains per serving. This bread has a good carbs-to-fiber ratio of 5.33:1.

If you’re looking out for allergens, both the regular and reduced sodium varieties contain wheat and sesame.
Ingredients include sprouted wheat berries, water, honey, wheat gluten, sprouted millet, sprouted rye, yeast, oats, sprouted barley, sprouted corn grits, brown rice, sea salt, sprouted whole wheat flour, molasses, cultured wheat starch and wheat flour (for freshness), and sesame.
One 28-gram slice has 70 calories, no fat or saturated fat, and either 95 mg of sodium (4% DV) for the regular loaf or 70 mg of sodium (3% DV) for the reduced sodium loaf. One slice also has 16 grams of total carbohydrates (6% DV), 3 grams of dietary fiber (11% DV), 1 gram of total sugars, 1 gram of added sugars (3% DV), and 3 grams of protein.

This is a hearty bread that tastes good. We like it for avocado toast, or we serve it with sandwich fillings like roasted turkey or chicken, sliced cheese, and a bit of mayo and/or mustard. Even one of the pickier younger eaters in our house will happily eat this in the form of peanut butter sandwiches.
It’s safe to say we’ll be keeping this bread stocked in our kitchen. It’s one of the healthier choices you can pick up in the bread aisle at Aldi.
The Verdict:
Simply Nature Organic Knock Your Sprouts Off Sprouted 7 Grain Bread comes in regular and reduced sodium options. This is comparable to name-brand sprouted grain breads such as Dave’s Killer Bread or Ezekiel 4:9 bread. Sprouted grain bread offers some nutritional benefits over traditional bread, and if you’re looking to up your bread game, this is worth a look.

Are the breads hard or soft because I have tried Ezekiel and it is hard to me and I bought Dave’s Killer bread and I enjoy it but it is expensive but it tastes like regular bread but I don’t buy it often because of the cost.
I don’t think this sprouted grain bread is hard. It’s not soft like Wonderbread, though, so I guess it depends on what your definition of hard is.
My husband and I like the low sodium sprouted bread, but they stopped carrying the larger loaf size last year which I would buy for him to add calories to his diet. I was very disappointed.
I love this bread, finally something healthy that I like!
I can no longer find it in our Aldi.
Is there a noticeable taste different between the two varieties?
I can’t tell a difference. I don’t feel like the lower-sodium version sacrifices taste.
Our Aldi carries this bread however not the organic version of it. Ingredients and nutrition facts for the organic and non-organic are a little different. May I ask what part of the country you purchased the organic version? Would you know if all Aldi stores will eventually carry the organic version?
Hi, Christine. We’re in the Midwest. I’m not sure what’s up with this bread. Shortly after we published this review, I can no longer find this bread in my local stores. The Aldi website shows a non-organic version like you mentioned, but I have yet to see it in stores.
I love this bread even though I find it a little dry. I keep it refrigerated. I take a slice or two and wrap it in a wet paper towel, place it in a baggy, sealed, and microwave it for about 10 seconds. This will make it softer for a sandwich. Or it can be toasted. Either way it is a good healthy bread.
