WORKZONE LED Extendable and Slimline Work Lights Coming to Aldi

Work lights, flashlights, and lanterns of all sorts can be useful around the house, in the garage, or in the great outdoors. Fortunately, Aldi rotates various lights into its middle aisle, and they’re usually pretty good deals.

The most recent lights to illuminate the discount grocer’s shelves are some work lights in either extendable or slimline designs.

What We Know:

The WORKZONE LED Extendable Work Light and WORKZONE LED Slimline Work Light are both Aldi Finds. That means they’re in stores for a short time. Each store should get one shipment, and after that sells out, they’re gone. Aldi does not offer online ordering if these are out of stock at your local store.

These are scheduled to arrive in stores July 2, 2025.

The work lights each cost $12.99. That’s less than what similar work lights go for on Amazon.

The Aldi lights are sold under the store’s WORKZONE house brand. That’s not a company. Instead, it’s the name Aldi puts on various tools and workshop gear it sells, which it sources from various suppliers.

Here’s more information, according to Aldi.

We haven’t yet tried either of these work lights, so we don’t know how well they work or how long they last. We write open threads like this to give people a place to discuss Aldi products.

  1. The magnet makes this quite handy. My boiler mechanic has one similar and uses the magnet “all the time.”

  2. I have the older version of this torch, it’s round and has two lamps. One at the end, and a second which activates when you pull it open. It has a USB-C input for power/recharging. It has a hook and a magnet at the end.

This was an excellent torch, incredibly useful as the magnet was super powerful, could easily take it’s weight whilst the plastic hook that came out of the base allowed you to hook onto something if there was no metal for the magnet to hold to.

However after a good decade or so the torch no longer charges. Because the unit is sealed, with only one screw holding the magnet in place the battery nor the space where the USB-C input is located can be removed/replaced.

However for price, versatility and the ability to recharge this device off of anything that a USB can plug into makes this device amazingly good value. You should buy one.
