The Wine Village Advent Calendar is Coming to Aldi

This post is an open thread

National Advent Calendar Day is coming soon. On November 6th, 2024, to be exact. This is the day when Aldi releases all manner of Advent calendars to help you count down to Christmas in fun and unique ways. Calendars feature different themes, from chocolate or cheese to toys or pet treats, or even puzzles.

Of course, the wine Advent calendar is one of the most popular items — if not the hottest seller — on National Advent Calendar Day at Aldi. When Aldi first sold wine calendars in 2018, they sold out in less than five minutes at our local store.

Aldi learned how to manage the crowds and lines in subsequent years, handing out line tickets for the wine calendars. Things seem to be a lot more orderly in recent years, although people still line up outside the store before opening and there is still a general air of excitement.

The ever-popular wine Advent calendar is coming back this year. Although take note that it’s not available in all locations, depending on whether your store sells alcohol or not.

Here’s what we know about this year’s calendar.

What We Know:

Aldi Wine Advent Calendar

The Aldi Wine Village Advent Calendar Wine Tasting Experience (Product Code: 707671 / 707669) is an Aldi Find. That means stores get just one shipment, and it’s not restocked during the current season. As mentioned earlier, these tend to sell quickly once they hit the selling floor at Aldi. If you want one, we recommend getting to Aldi first thing in the morning when your local store opens. Aldi does not offer online ordering for these if they’re sold out at your local store.

The Aldi ad states “see price in store,” so the price may vary by location. In previous years, wine calendars at my local store have been around $60. I’m not sure what their cost will be in 2024.

We haven’t yet tried this specific calendar, so we don’t know how good it is. We write open threads to give readers a place to talk about Aldi products and ask questions.
