EDITOR’S NOTE: We purchased this fan as soon as it became available at Aldi, and we have a full review, including dimensions and information about how loud it is and how powerful of a breeze it puts out, over here. You can also view our YouTube video review of the fan here

Summer brings hot weather for much of the U.S. That means people will be seeking ways to keep cool via everything from central air conditioning to window a/c units to swimming pools. Fans of all sizes are also useful for providing relief from the heat.

If it’s a fan you need, Aldi rotates several types of fans into its middle aisle as limited-time specials. In recent months, I’ve seen metal pedestal fans and tripod fans at Aldi. One of the latest fans to show up in the weekly ad is a bladeless fan.

Bladeless fans technically still have blades or a propeller of some sort, but they’re hidden in the base of the fan, and the air is expelled through a ring at the top of the fan. These types of fans can be useful if you have young children or pets and are concerned about safety around a traditional fan with blades. The concept became trendy when industrial designer James Dyson created a bladeless fan in 2009 that was called the Air Multiplier.

What We Know:

Ambiano Bladeless Fan

The Ambiano Bladeless Fan (Product Code: 832710) is an Aldi Find, so it’s only in stores for a short time. Each store gets a single shipment, and that is not restocked. After the fan sells out, it’s gone unless Aldi decides to bring it back next year. Aldi does not offer online ordering for products that are not currently in stock at your local store.

This is scheduled to arrive in stores May 29th, 2024.

The Ambiano Bladeless Fan cost $49.99 at the time of publication. You can find bladeless fans that are a little cheaper on Amazon, although without knowing this Aldi fan’s exact dimensions, it’s hard to make a fair comparison. However, the Aldi fan is on the lower end of the price range for bladeless fans in general.

Here’s more information, according to Aldi:

  • Provides fresh air with style, elegance, and innovative design
  • Offers 3 wind speed settings: quiet, medium, and turbo
  • Features swivel angle of 60°, left and right
  • Includes energy saver timer good for up to 7.5 hours
  • Features 4 LED light options: white, blue, green, purple
  • Operate using the digital touch panel or the included remote control
  • Whisper quiet with only 56 dBA
  • Easy to clean and low noise
  • Cable length: 150 cm

This is sold under the Ambiano brand. There is not a company called Ambiano. Instead, that’s the name Aldi puts on various home goods it sells, which it sources from various suppliers.

What We Don’t Know:

We haven’t yet tried this fan, but we intend to buy one as soon as it arrives in our local stores, and we’ll put it through the paces. As mentioned above, Aldi has not yet published information about this fan’s dimensions. Aldi also has not stated whether this comes with any kind of warranty. We’ll publish a full review once we get our hands on this fan. In the meantime, we write open threads to give readers a place to discuss Aldi products.
