There are certain things that you don’t realize you need until you … well, really need them. During a 2024 trip I took to Orlando, for example, we discovered that we needed some additions to our luggage. We haven’t flown in nearly two decades, so plane-worthy luggage wasn’t something we’d had to deal with in a long time. Once we knew we’d be taking a flight, suddenly we had some buying to do.
Travel is like that, and maybe one of the best examples of where you suddenly need things you didn’t think you did. Traveling often asks a person to use some things they don’t use at home, whether it be travel-sized items or items made to carry things during travel. (Like luggage!) Travel isn’t just about the big checked bag, though — it’s also about the smaller things that hold things inside the big checked bag.
The toiletry bag is a great example. Just about every traveler will need to bring personal health and hygiene products, the kind of things you probably aren’t going to toss haphazardly in with your clothes. You need a separate spot for things like a toothbrush, toothpaste, deodorant, hair care, and the like. A dedicated toiletry bag does just that.
Aldi has a knack for putting stuff on shelves right when you think you might need them, thanks to its clever middle aisle. When I needed a toiletry bag … Aldi had one. Aldi has since resold the same bag under a different house brand.
The LIVE IN STYLE Hanging Toiletry Bag — formerly the Crane Hanging Toiletry Bag — is an Aldi Find. Each store gets a shipment, and once they’re sold out, they’re sold out. You can’t order Aldi products online, so if you can’t find one in stores, you’re out of luck until Aldi brings the product back, assuming Aldi does.
In 2026, Aldi sold the bag for $8.99. That’s higher than the $6.99 it sold for in 2025, although it’s still on the low end of prices I could find online for personal care bags like this one. Colors vary a little from year to year; we picked up a black one.
Because LIVE IN STYLE, like Crane, is an Aldi brand and not a company, it’s not clear who made this bag. The tag says that it is imported by Aldi and made in China. There is no warranty or after-sales support.
The bag measures 11.2 inches wide, 3.94 inches deep, and 8.07 inches tall. It has a zippered main compartment and two small side pockets. The bottom appears to be reinforced with something inside the fabric — plastic, perhaps — that helps keep it firm and sit upright.

Inside the main zippered pocket, the flap folds open and has a hook you can use to hang the bag. The interior also has three different zippered mesh pockets, two mesh pockets without zippers, some straps that might be used to hold things inside the pockets without zippers, and a main storage space.

I’m on the fence on how much I would use the mesh pockets or the side pockets. They have some value for items that are thin, but because of their design they aren’t good for much beyond that. The big attraction here is the main storage area, which I think is big enough to house what I need without being a huge bother when packing.
The Verdict:
Aldi’s hanging toiletry bag is a simple, mostly functional bag. The zippered main pouch is big enough for a good amount of personal care items. There are also some smaller pockets in and out of the main pouch that may have some organizational use, although they’re not good for much beyond items that are relatively thin. For the price especially, this is certainly worth a look for the budget traveler.
As for durability? For the cost, it might not matter too much. Still, I’ll be traveling with this bag and will try to update later on with a progress report.
UPDATE (June 2026): The bag has held up well after two years of occasional travel use. It remains my go-to bag when I go on trips.
