Aldi Debuts Ambiano Rechargeable Bladeless Neck Fan

Summer is here, and that means heat for many parts of the U.S. At various times throughout the warmer months, Aldi sells products to help cope with heat waves, including air conditioners, window units, tower fans, and more.
A newer trend is portable neck fans. They look a bit like a headband or ear muffs, with two small fans positioned at either end of an arched plastic connector. As the name implies, a neck fan is designed to be draped around a person’s neck, where the fan can provide a breeze to the face and neck. I spotted a relative of mine wearing a portable neck fan during a recent visit to the zoo on a hot day.
Aldi is always one to get in on trends, and for several years the grocery store has sold its own take on the rechargeable portable neck fan. There was always one downside to the early neck fan models Aldi sold, though, and that was the fact that they weren’t bladeless. Several of our readers expressed concerns about their hair getting caught in the fans.
Then, Aldi upped its game and introduced a bladeless rechargeable neck fan in August of 2025. Let’s take a look at this new model.
What We Know:
The Ambiano Rechargeable Bladeless Neck Fan cost $19.99 in August of 2025. That’s twice the cost of the older Aldi neck fans that had blades, but the higher price may be worth the lack of blades. It’s also still less than similar neck fans on Amazon.
This fan appears to be more like a portable air conditioner that actually cools air and blows it on your neck, rather than just blowing air.
This neck fan is an Aldi Find, which means it’s only in stores for a short time. Each store gets just one shipment, and once that sells out, they’re gone unless Aldi decides to bring them back. Aldi does not offer online ordering for products that aren’t in stock at your local store.
This is scheduled to arrive at Aldi stores August 13th, 2025.
As far as we can tell, these fans don’t seem to come with any kind of warranty, but we aren’t certain about that.
In 2025, the fan is sold in black or white.

This is sold under the Ambiano brand. That’s not a company. It’s just the private label Aldi uses for various home goods it sells, which it sources from different suppliers.
What We Don’t Know:
We haven’t yet tried this bladeless neck fan, so we don’t know how well it works or how long it lasts. We write open threads so readers can share their thoughts about Aldi products.

I just bought one this morning and it won’t turn on. It is fully charged and the battery says 100%. I will have to make a return. Wanted this for an upcoming trip

Just bought one today, it does work. Turns on, fan runs, cooling plate actually gets cold. But it is SO loud. And yes, I expect a fan blowing basically in your ears to be loud, but its the motor that’s super loud more so than the air. My co-worker has a neck fan and I can never hear hers on the playground. Hers is a different, more expensive, brand. I don’t know if she doesn’t turn the fan up very high or if hers is genuinly just quieter. As an autistic person I don’t think the sensory aspect of the loud motor is going to be worth the cooling. At least not for at work, which is where I spend the most time outside in the heat. I will probably be returning.
I just bought this today after returning a neck fan to Amazon because it was so heavy and uncomfortable. This fan has it all…it’s lightweight, charges up fast, and really does a great job of cooling .In South Florida this summer you really take a chance when you go outside during the day…well, I went shopping to Aldi on my trike and put this baby on for the ride home (a 2 1/2 mile ride through the suburbs)…it’s a keeper ( I hope). I don’t find it too loud, I wear earbuds to block out the traffic sounds anyway. It does have a two year limited warranty so I am holding on to my receipt just in case.
