Compared to sedans, SUVS are nice to drive for a few reasons. First, they usually sit higher off the ground, allowing the driver to have a better view of surroundings. Second, they can be great for hauling things. That open cargo area in the back is useful for carrying groceries, luggage, or even pets.
But if you’re traveling with a dog, you may not want your pet climbing out of the cargo area and potentially getting in your way or distracting you as a driver. This is where a dog crate or a barrier or some sort can be helpful. Even if you’re not driving with a furry friend in the back, loose luggage or groceries (especially canned goods) can become dangerous projectiles if you’re in an accident, so there are good reasons for installing a barrier of some sort to keep cargo where it belongs in the cargo area.
If you’re in the market, for a vehicle barrier, Aldi has just introduced one under its Heart to Tail product line, which encompasses pet care supplies and pet gear such as dog anxiety jackets, frozen dog treats, cat beds, cat condos, and more.
What We Know:
The Heart to Tail Vehicle Pet Barrier (Product Code: 815496) cost $29.99 at the time of publication. That’s cheaper than a lot of other vehicle pet barriers on the market. As far as we can tell according to our records, this appears to be the first time Aldi has sold a vehicle pet barrier like this.
This is an Aldi Find, so it’s only in stores for a short time. Each store gets one shipment, and after they sell out, that’s it unless Aldi decides to bring these back. Aldi does not offer online ordering for products that aren’t in stock at your local store.
Here’s more information on the vehicle pet barrier, according to Aldi:
- Safely keeps pets in cargo area, away from the driver and passengers
- Can also be used to separate luggage and other cargo within your vehicle
- No tools required for installation
- Adjustable Width: 33.46″–55.12″
- Height: 26.97″–45.08″
What We Don’t Know:
We haven’t tried this vehicle barrier, so we don’t know how easily it installs, how well it works, or how durable it is. We write open threads so readers can share about their experiences with Aldi products.
