If you’re looking for ways to spruce up or add interest to your indoor or outdoor space, Aldi is a great place to shop. The discount grocer rolls out an ever-changing array of products in its middle aisle, including wicker patio sets, outdoor log burners, wooden porch rockers, solar lanterns, solar garden stakes, and more.

Sometimes Aldi sells some interesting pieces of technology or lighting, including color-changing LED light strips, LED fairy lights, LED daylight lamps, and plant grow lights.

Most recently, Aldi is selling some color-changing LED orbs under its Belavi private label, which encompasses outdoor furniture and décor as well as some gardening supplies. These color-changing LED orbs are round lights in different colors that can be used either indoors or outdoors. They’re ideal on a patio, deck, or porch, or in a sunroom, family room, basement hangout, or even a dorm room.

What We Know:

Belavi Color-Changing LED Orb

The Belavi Color-Changing LED Orb (Product Code: 704702) cost $19.99 in 2023, which was the same cost as in 2022. You can purchase a single 9-inch orb or two 6-inch orbs. The Aldi price is less than most similar color-changing orbs on Amazon.

This is an Aldi Find, so it’s only in stores for a short time. Each store gets one shipment of orbs, and once they sell out, that’s it unless Aldi decides to bring these back. Aldi does not offer online ordering for products that aren’t in stock in your local store.

Here’s more information about the orbs, according to Aldi:

  • Available as one 9″ Orb or two 6″ Orbs

  • Features 13 ambient colors
  • 3 color modes: fade/jump/flash
  • Control multiple orbs at once with included remote
  • Includes a 30-minute timer
  • Offers 4 levels of brightness adjustment

Aldi has not indicated that these lights come with any kind of warranty.

What We Don’t Know:

We haven’t yet purchased the Belavi Color-Changing LED Orb, so we don’t know how well it works or how long it lasts. We write open threads so readers can talk about their experiences with Aldi products.

  1. I opened mine from last year this year only to find one does not work 🤨

  2. Patrick Ledbetter

Keep in mind they are not solar. They run on aaa batteries and mine do not last long

  3. Bought one today and it does not work. Hope they take it back.

  4. I purchase 2 and so far they both work fine.

  5. i bought 2 sets on clearance and wish they had more so I can put all the way down the garden, adorable

  6. I love mine wish I could get more

  7. I purchased the set of 2 on July 27, 2022. One works fine. Only 2 of the phillips screws on the second orb will unscrew. The others either just spin around and do not come unscrewed so the battery compartment is inaccessible. I’d like to see if I could find a power supply unit that would plug into the sockets on the bottom of the orb that would mirror the function of the “push button” embedded in the box for demo purposes. I have a Class 2 power supply unit on an aromatherapy device that looks like a fit, but the orb only operates in “flash” mode with it. Maybe it would function with a different class power supply. Such is Life!

  8. The battery compartment was wired incorrectly in the set l bought. Returned no problem. They seem to be cheaper online.

  9. Did anyone figure out how to extend the auto time beyond 30 minutes?

  10. Bought our Belavi Color-Changing Orb from Aldi in Lockport, IL on 6/25/2023. Both the Orb and the Remote worked perfectly. After just a few (less than 2 weeks of using it, the remote stopped working. We have just now tried two different brand new, correct # battery in the remote and it will not work. Anyone have issues with their remote even with new battery installed and if so, how were you able to get it fixed? Thank you.

  11. There is an outlet (phone charger style) to the globe that allows you to plug in. When I plugged it in it lights up only in ‘white’ (no colors) and then the battery remote charger does not seem to work again. {don’t know if it causes a short circuit} Any feedback on why this may occur is appreciated.

    • Hi ! I guess you are not the only one feeling frustrated why they don’t make it solar so you don’t have to change the battery or maybe you are thinking to find a way to connect the outlet to some DC power just like me and it ruin the light. I had been trying to fix it but can’t figure it out. Finally I solved the problem by buying a solar string light and put it inside the globe. I hope it help.
