Casa Mamita Mild Chunky Salsa

My household goes through a lot of salsa on a weekly basis. I serve it with tacos, taco salad, burrito bowls, and nachos. We also eat salsa with many breakfast meals such as scrambled eggs or omelets, breakfast burritos, or Tex-Mex style breakfast bowls.

Aldi sells several varieties of jarred salsa. Some are more adventurous than others. If you just want a standard grocery store salsa that’s on par with brands such as Pace or Tostitos, Aldi sells that.

Casa Mamita Mild Chunky Salsa

Casa Mamita Mild Chunky Salsa is a Regular Buy. That means you should be able to find it year round at Aldi. It’s stocked on the room temperature shelves with the other salsa, queso, and tortilla chips. It should be refrigerated after opening.

I paid $2.45 for a 24-ounce jar in 2026. We buy Aldi products to review using our own money.

Ingredients are tomato puree (water, tomato paste), diced tomatoes in juice (diced tomatoes, tomato juice, citric acid, calcium chloride), green peppers, and 2% or less of vinegar, onions, salt, garlic, and natural flavor.

This is gluten free.

One jar has about 21 two-tablespoon servings. One serving has 10 calories, no fat, 250 mg of sodium (11% DV), 2 grams of total carbohydrates (1% DV), 1 gram of dietary fiber (4% DV), 1 gram of total sugars, no added sugars, and no protein.

This is your typical store-bought salsa. It’s a medium chunky consistency, without any chunks that are too large. It has a mild flavor and isn’t really spicy. It’s the preferred jarred salsa among members of my family who don’t care for spicy foods, so we go through our fair share of it. It’s not gourmet, but it does the job when you want salsa.

The Verdict:

Casa Mamita Mild Chunky Salsa is a standard grocery store salsa that reminds us of name brands such as Pace or Tostitos. It’s not restaurant-quality, but it’s decent if you need a basic salsa. It’s also not spicy.
