Clancy’s Turkey Stuffing Potato Chips + Garlic Mashed Potato Chips
Thanksgiving is exactly two weeks away as I write this. The grocery store aisles are fully stocked with everything people need to create their holiday feasts: turkeys, hams, stuffing mixes, mashed sweet potatoes, dinner rolls, and pies of all types.
In addition to Thanksgiving staples, I’ve also spotted some more unique products at Aldi this time of year. There’s turkey cranberrry-stuffed ravioli, for instance.
Also in the category of unusual: I found these potato chips in the Aldi middle aisle.
That’s right. Aldi has turned your Thanksgiving favorites into potato chips for snacking. There are two flavors: Turkey Stuffing, and Garlic Mashed Potato. One of my friends saw these in the Aldi weekly ad and texted me to ask if I was planning to review them. I kind of had to.
Clancy’s Turkey Stuffing Wavy Potato Chips and Clancy’s Garlic Mashed Wavy Potato Chips are Aldi Finds. That means they’re in stores for a short time only. Each store gets just one shipment. After that sells out, they’re gone unless Aldi decides to sell them next year during the Thanksgiving season. Aldi does not offer online ordering if these are sold out at your local store.
We bought these with our own money for review. I paid $2.19 for each 9.5-ounce bag at my local store at the time of writing. That comes out to about 23 cents per ounce. There are about ten 1-ounce servings per bag, which makes each serving about 22 cents.
These are kosher and gluten free. If you’re looking out for allergens, the Garlic Mashed potato chips contain milk.
The Turkey Stuffing potato chips contain potatoes, vegetable oil (one of more of the following: cottonseed, corn), seasoning (corn maltodextrin, onion powder, sugar, hydrolyzed corn protein, garlic powder, spices, salt, yeast extract, natural flavor, citric acid, spices extracts, extractives of turmeric [color]), and salt.
One 1-ounce serving of the Turkey Stuffing chips has 150 calories, 9 grams of total fat (12% DV), 1.5 grams of saturated fat (8% DV), 200 mg of sodium (9% DV), 16 grams of total carbohydrates (6% DV), 1 gram of dietary fiber (4% DV), 1 gram of total sugars, no added sugars, and 1 gram of protein.

These really do taste like their Thanksgiving dinner counterparts. The Turkey Stuffing chips have a mild savory, herby flavor, while the Garlic Mashed chips have a strong salted garlic flavor. My family was divided over which flavor is the best. I lean toward Turkey Stuffing.
We appreciated how these are sturdy chips that don’t all crumble in the bag. Another thing we all agreed on is that, while these are novel and fun to try, we still prefer other chip flavors like sour cream and onion, cheddar and sour cream, or barbecue. Still, Aldi gets props for trying something different here, and these are good on their own merits.
The Verdict:
Clancy’s Turkey Stuffing Wavy Potato Chips and Clancy’s Garlic Mashed Wavy Potato Chips take some of your favorite Thanksgiving dishes and turn them into a crispy snack form. The Turkey Stuffing chips taste like a roasted turkey with herb stuffing. The Garlic Mashed potato chips are saltier, with noticeable garlic notes.
