Lacura Bond Repair Shampoo and Conditioner
EDITOR’S NOTE: This review is from 2025. Aldi stealth released the same shampoo and conditioner in January of 2026 for the same price of $4.99 per bottle. See our update at the end of this post for our thoughts on the shampoo and conditioner after using them this past year.
Aldi loves a good dupe. Whether it’s a knockoff of pricey Pottery Barn sculpted reindeer, Free People quilted carryalls, or even Girl Scout cookies, the discount grocery store loves to offer limited-edition imitations of popular brands at much lower prices.
Among the latest dupes to show up in the middle aisle at Aldi are shampoo and conditioner that look like name-brand Olaplex, but they sell for a fraction of the cost of the name brand.
Olaplex products are popular among TikTok and Instagram influencers, but they’re not cheap, with Olaplex shampoo and conditioner retailing for $30 per 8.5-ounce bottle on the brand’s website as of January of 2025. In contrast, the Aldi versions cost just $4.99 per bottle.
The Aldi products are sold under the Lacura brand. That’s not a company. Instead, it’s the name Aldi puts on many of the beauty products and toiletries it sells, which it sources from different suppliers.
Let’s take a closer look at the Aldi Olaplex dupe shampoo and conditioner.
Lacura Bond Repair Shampoo and Lacura Bond Repair Conditioner are Aldi Finds. That means they’re in stores for just a short time. Each store gets one shipment, and they’re gone after that sells out. Aldi does not offer online ordering for these if they’re out of stock at your local store.
We buy Aldi products with our own money, and I paid $4.99 per bottle at my local Aldi in January of 2025. Each bottle is 8.5 ounces, so the price comes out to about 59 cents per ounce. They were the same price when Aldi sold them again in January of 2026.
These are both products of Poland. The labels state that these hydrate, strengthen, and repair hair. They’re intended for all hair types.
The back of the shampoo label states it is:
…the first step of a 2-step system designed to strengthen and repair damaged looking hair. Formulated with moisture magnets and cuticle smoothers, this shampoo reduces frizz and adds shine for perfectly manageable, healthy looking hair.
The conditioner label states it is:
the second step of a 2-step system designed to strengthen and repair damaged looking hair. Formulated with conditioning agents and cuticle smoothers, this conditioner helps to hydrate and replenish the scalp with weightless moisture while reducing frizz and increasing shine and manageability.
How Does the Aldi Brand Compare to Olaplex?
One observation: the ingredients lists for the Aldi products are not the same as the name-brand shampoo and conditioner. Some ingredients aren’t listed in the same order, so the proportions may be different, and some ingredients are just different altogether. So, these may not be exact dupes.
In addition, some people on Aldi fan social media pages mention that the Lacura shampoo and conditioner contain sulfates, a controversial type of ingredient that makes shampoo and other cleaning products produce a lather, while the Olaplex ones don’t have sulfates.

Using the Shampoo and Conditioner:
You use these like any shampoo and conditioner. First, apply and massage the shampoo throughout wet hair, and then rinse fully. Then, apply and massage and conditioner throughout wet hair and leave on for three minutes. Rinse fully and style hair as desired. The directions state the shampoo and conditioner are “appropriate for everyday use.”
As for my personal experience trying these, these smell fairly good in the bottle, but I’m not sure I like the scent as much when I catch whiffs of it in my hair after washing.
The shampoo is on the thicker side, and a little goes a long way. The conditioner is as expected. I haven’t had time to use this much yet, but so far it seems to work well and makes my hair soft. I’ll update this post later if I have additional thoughts after using the products for longer.
The Verdict:
Lacura Bond Repair Shampoo and Lacura Bond Repair Conditioner cost $4.99 each and are imitations of expensive Olaplex products that sell for $30 a bottle. These claim to help strengthen and repair damaged hair, reduce frizz, and increase shine. They smell all right but not great, in our opinion. The shampoo is thick and you don’t need to use much at a time. So far, we’re happy with the results of these products. We’ll updated our review later if necessary.
UPDATE (1/20/2026) — I used this shampoo and conditioner during the past year and it worked as well as other brands. I don’t think it works miracles, but it’s fine. The scent isn’t my favorite, but it grew on me.

Ok so I tried these just to see how they might be. I have very dry hair and was hoping they would be a good product. The shampoo isn’t good for people with very dry hair. It left mine feeling like straw. With that said, the conditioner is really good. I used it in combination with the shampoo. It worked very well and made my hair very soft. I have no idea if I have to literally strip my hair with the shampoo before using the conditioner. I hope not. For now, I’m going to stop with the shampoo and just use the conditioner. If you have normal hair I suspect both will work well for you but I wasn’t doing cartwheels over either one.
I have naturally curly hair and let it air dry without styling. This product made my hair very soft, but did not allow my curls to form. I suppose if you have or want straight hair, this would be a great product, but, as for me, I’m not planning to use it again.
My daughter and I love this product!!
I love this products The shampoo and conditioner are amazing I work in the beauty industry and all the time people asking me what I use for my hair my hair is straight and very silky I love this products.
