House cleaning is a constant battle against relentless forces, both natural and human-made. Whether it’s dealing with dust that naturally accumulates on the window sill or a kid spilling food on the floor, you could spend all day every day cleaning the average living space and never finish.
Having tools helps. For most of us, a vacuum is an indispensable tool. So are brooms and dustpans. You might even have a mop on hand for certain kinds of kitchen floors.
The bathroom creates specific challenges. For the average bathroom cleaning job, you’ll find yourself using a combinations of scrubbers and brushes, all powered by the human hand. Tools like vacuums and brooms are of limited (if any) help in the bathroom.
Enter the spin scrubber. It’s a versatile cleaning tool that can work on a few surfaces throughout the home, but where it shines is in dealing with some of the harder-to-clean surfaces in the bathroom. And Aldi is selling one.
What We Know:
The Ambiano Cordless Electric Spin Scrubber (Product Code: 711724) is an Aldi Find, which means it’s only in stores for a limited time. Once it’s gone, it’s gone, and you won’t be able to get it until it comes back to stores, whenever that might be. Aldi doesn’t ship products online, so if you can’t find this in stores, you’re out of luck.
At the time of this post, the spinner cost $19.99. That’s on the bottom end of cordless electric spin scrubber prices that I could find on Amazon.
Aldi’s site doesn’t offer much of any information about the spinner. The images suggest that it comes with three replaceable brush heads and that it is rechargeable, but that’s about it.
What We Don’t Know:
To our knowledge, this is a product new to Aldi, and as a result it’s also one we haven’t yet tested. We can’t speak, then, to ease of use or reliability. We’ve created this open thread for users to share their experiences.
Have you tried out this spin scrubber? Let us know about it in the comments!
How to take the brush off to change it ??
I cannot fathom this out either???
I can to ask this same question. How do I change the brush head?? Help!
Did you figure out how to remove the brush head?
We used a butter knife to pry out the head
glad I’m not the only one who can’t change the brush head!!! HELP!
There’s no release button and the brush heads lock down tightly (I guess so they won’t come loose while they’re spinning). You just have to pull really hard, and they will come off.
Help! The brush heads don’t come off!
I am in the same boat– can’t change brush heads and instructions don’t address how to do so. :/
I am interested in going in the store to look at this. Bathroom tile (walls and floor) are a constant battle.
Just be aware they are a limited-time special and may have already sold out at your local Aldi. We tried to pick one up last weekend after they’d been in stores for several days, and they were all sold. It’s always worth taking a look, though, and you might have better luck than us, depending on how busy your store is.
