Pembrook Specialty Planners are Returning to Aldi

EDITOR’S NOTE: Aldi sold specialty planners again in December of 2023 for $8.99 each. 

We’ve written before about how Aldi planners have a certain set of devoted fans who await the arrival of new planners every year. And not just any Aldi planners. The discount grocery store has been known to sell a few different varieties with various layouts and features, and Aldi fans consider some planner versions to be better than others.

Aldi sold a Pembrook Premium Planner earlier this year, back in January, and I liked it so much I picked up a second one for future use. Some Aldi customers weren’t satisfied, though, saying it wasn’t their favorite layout. One of the most glaring differences for some Aldi shoppers was that the January 2022 planner didn’t have a page with a monthly layout, instead offering only weekly page spreads.

For Aldi fans who are still waiting for the perfect planner, you have another opportunity this month. Pembrook Specialty Planners are slated to hit stores within the next week, during February of 2022. February isn’t exactly when you would think new planners would hit store shelves, but chatter on Reddit chalks the delay up to supply chain and shipping challenges that continue to plague retailers. These latest planners have larger dimensions than the ones that were in stores in January of 2022.

What We Know:

Affirmations planner.

Pembrook Specialty Planners (Product Code: 13743) cost $7.99 each in February of 2022.

The last time we have a record of Aldi selling a product called the Pembrook Specialty Planner was for $7.99 in December of 2019. Over the years, Aldi also sold a Pembrook Personal Weekly and Monthly Planner for $7.99 in 2020 and 2018, and for $6.99 in 2017. Aldi also sold a Pembrook Small Personal Weekly/Monthly Planner for $4.99 in 2021.

Budget planner.

Pembrook planners of all types, including the specialty planner, are Aldi Finds, which means they’re only in stores for a short time. (And Aldi won’t ship them to you after they sell out at your local store.)

Parent planner.

What We Don’t Know:

We have not yet tried any of the Pembrook Specialty Planners, nor have we seen them in our local stores yet, so we don’t know what they look like inside or how well they work at helping you get your act together. We also don’t know how durable they are for a year’s worth of writing in. Our goal with open thread posts such as this one is to offer space for readers to share about their experience with a product.
