Griddles seem to be having a moment. Every time I turn around, Aldi is selling a different type of griddle in its famed middle aisle. It wasn’t that long ago when Aldi sold a 2-in-1 electric grill and griddle, and before that they offered a portable tabletop gas griddle, and a ceramic copper titanium griddle.

Griddles can come in handy for cooking all kinds of foods such as burgers, grilled cheese sandwiches, quesadillas, pancakes, hash browns, French toast, eggs, and more. Some people like cooking on griddles because they typically offer more even heat distribution and temperature control compared to cooking on a stovetop. They also can work well when you’re cooking for a crowd because they have a larger surface area than a traditional skillet, so you can fit more food at once on your cooking surface. You also don’t have to deal with working multiple stove burners at once.

Aldi is once again selling another griddle. This time, it’s a classic electric griddle.

What We Know:

Ambiano Electric Griddle

The Ambiano Electric Griddle (Product Code: 709122) cost $24.99 in March of 2023. That’s less than a lot of other electric griddles on Amazon.

This is an Aldi Find, so it’s only in stores for a short time. Each store receives one shipment, and after that sells out, it’s gone unless Aldi decides to bring it back at some point. Aldi does not offer online ordering for products that are not in stock at your local store.

Here’s more information about the electric griddle, according to Aldi:

  • Features titanium ceramic coating for ultimate resistance
  • Metal utensil safe
  • Dimensions: 10.5″ x 20″
  • Cooking surface: 1500W

What We Don’t Know:

We haven’t tried this griddle, so we don’t know how well it works or how durable it is. We write open threads so readers can discuss Aldi products.

  1. I purchased an griddle that has a 3 yr warranty but how do you register it and if something happens who do you call.

  2. can i use the griddle on a formica countertop without burning the counter? It seems the bottom of the griddle would get totally hot and the legs don’t hold it high off the surface of the counter.
