Open Thread: Visage 3-Pack Reading Glasses

As the saying goes, only two things in this life are certain: death and taxes. In between now and the first of those certainties, a body will start to age. This manifests itself in a lot of ways, one of them being — for most people — a slow but steady decline in vision.

Even for people with naturally good vision, the ability to read things close up gets harder with age. Inevitably, most people will need help reading. That may come in the form of bifocals. You also will see people who use reading glasses when they need to look at something close-up for a long period of time.

You can find reading glasses in most big box stores, dollar stores, and pharmacies. Occasionally, the German grocer famous for selling nearly everything also sells reading glasses.

What We Know:

Visage Reading Glasses come in a 3-pack and are an Aldi Find. Aldi Finds are only in stores for a short time, and once they’ve sold out, you can’t get them again until they come back, whenever that might be. If you can’t find them in your store, you’re out of luck for now, as Aldi doesn’t ship products online.

Aldi does seem to sell reading glasses multiple times a year, so if you miss out on these, some kind or another will probably come back in a few months. Some Aldi reading glasses are a single pair with a case, while these, of course, are a three-pack.

In 2025, Aldi sold the 3-pack of glasses for $6.99, or $2.33 a pair. That’s much cheaper than anything we can find on Amazon.

Aldi sells these glasses in two strengths: 1.5 and 2.0. They also come in an assortment of styles, both in shape and color. Each 3-pack has three different color styles, all of them in the same shape and same strength.

Aldi doesn’t have a lot of information on these glasses, and has not given out much information when the grocer sold these in the past.

What We Don’t Know:

We haven’t tried out these reading glasses, so we don’t know about build quality, comfort, or durability. We’ve created this open thread for users to share experiences.

Have you used these Aldi reading glasses? Feel free to tell us about it in the comments.

  1. I bought the three pack the last time they were available in my store about three to four years ago. I still have two of them today but my first pair was my daily driver and the hinge broke last year. So for the price it is a good deal and the quality is good enough to last long enough. I finally got prescription eyeglasses recently so I haven’t needed to use the reading glasses lately.
