Step2 Choice Cuisine Kitchen Coming to Aldi

With the Christmas shopping season kicking off, Aldi is upping its game in the toy department. In recent weeks, I’ve seen the discount grocery store advertising Squishmallows, Fisher-Price Little People, LeapFrog learning toys, Cocomelon playsets, Disney collectibles, and Pokemon toys.

Among the bigger-ticket items is a play kitchen. Aldi has sold play kitchens and similar toys before. Most notably, they’ve previously sold a kid-sized Aldi market with a cash register with a working calculator, plus food shelves and the Aldi logo prominently displayed in several places. Aldi also sold a play shopping set with Aldi-branded food items along with a wallet and Aldi shopping basket playset that included play money.

The current play kitchen at Aldi is a name-brand Step2 kitchen. Aldi has sold Step2 products before, including a more expensive different play kitchen during the 2022 holiday season.

What We Know:

Step 2 Choice Cuisine Kitchen

The 2023 Aldi-exclusive Step2 kitchen.

The Step 2 Choice Cuisine Kitchen is an Aldi Find, so it’s only in stores for a short time. Each store gets one shipment, and after that sells out, it’s gone. Aldi does not offer online ordering for products not in stock at your local store.

This is scheduled to arrive in Aldi stores on November 15th, 2023.

The Step 2 Choice Cuisine Kitchen cost $64.99 in November of 2023.

Step2 is a toy brand that is not exclusive to Aldi, and you can find their children’s toys in many major retailers. The weekly Aldi ad states that this Step2 kitchen is only sold at Aldi, but I found a similar Step2 play kitchen for a higher price of $89.99 at Walmart and Amazon. The colors and decorative stickers are a little different, but it’s essentially the same design. This was the case with the Step2 kitchen Aldi sold in 2022 as well.

What We Don’t Know:

We haven’t purchased this kitchen, so we don’t know how easy it is to assemble or how well it holds up to play. We write open threads to provide readers with a place to discuss Aldi products.

I too was very excited to buy this for my grandson. It was just what I looking for and found it after Christmas for a good deal. Came home to put it together couple stickers missing, some rough, sharp edges that I needed to smooth off on the plastic. My grandson is only two. D.O.E.S. stove burner was working but after I put it all together with the screws it did not work. What a pain in the neck and what a disappointment.
