Aldi has a cult following. There really is no denying it. Especially after the discount grocery store introduced its own Aldi Gear Capsule Collection earlier this year. The collection included all kinds of Aldi-branded products such as pajamas, socks, water bottles, pet toys, and keychain quarter holders.
Devoted Aldi shoppers scooped up the Aldi fan gear, and the products spurred discussions on Aldi social media fan pages about the pros and cons of being a “walking billboard” for a business.
Not long after the Aldi Gear Capsule Collection was released, Aldi surprised us with some Aldi fan products that are designed specifically for kids, or the young at heart.
First, Aldi introduced a miniature Aldi grocery store playset complete with shelves, a cash register, and the Aldi logo prominently displayed. Aldi put some thought into making this set look authentic. The market play set features images of Aldi-exclusive products on shelving, including Cheese Club Macaroni and Cheese and Simply Nature Unsweetened Applesauce. We also spotted a box of pretend Millville Honey Wheat Puffs among the play food accessories that come with the Aldi Food Market.
Then, Aldi debuted an Aldi play shopping set that features play food and an Aldi-branded shopping bag.
It’s like Aldi fan gear for kids, although we can think of few grownups who might be tempted to purchase these toys as well. And of course, this begs the question: will your kids scan their pretend groceries as fast as a real Aldi cashier?
What We Know:
The Aldi Food Market in 2022.
The Aldi Food Market (Product Code: 706179) cost $39.99 in May of 2022, and Aldi brought the market back in February of 2023 for the same price. The Bee Happy Aldi Play Shopping Set cost $14.99 in May of 2022 and again in February of 2023. The food market is cheaper than many other grocery store play sets on Amazon, and you’re unlikely to find an Aldi-specific grocery store playset anywhere else.
May of 2022 appears to be the first time Aldi has sold toys specifically imitating an Aldi grocery store. The play shopping set is sold under the Aldi Bee Happy private label, which encompasses toys of all kinds.

These are Aldi Finds, so they’re only in stores for a short time. Each store gets one shipment, and after that sells out, they’re gone until whenever Aldi may decided to bring them back. Aldi does not offer online ordering for its specials if they’re not in stock at your local store.

Neither the food market nor the play shopping set appear to come with any kind of warranty.
What We Don’t Know:
We haven’t purchased the Aldi Food Market or Bee Happy Aldi Play Shopping Set, so we can’t speak to their quality. We also don’t know the specific dimensions for the Aldi Food Market (although it looks small). We write open threads so readers can share about their experiences with Aldi products.

The cash box will not open.
The Aldi Food Market Looks super cute and the price is not bad, however, it is almost impossible to assemble. Supposed to just click together, but the pieces are not molded accurately, and do not fit correctly and do not click. You cannot press real hard to try to achieve the click, because it is cheap plastic and bendable. I had to walk away, so I didn’t throw it out the window. We will see if a friend of mine has any luck. Really hoping we can get it to assemble correctly, because it is a cute set!
