When People Think We’re Aldi, 8th Edition

When People Think We're Aldi

How we feel after someone asks us (again) for a refund.

Since we created Aldi Reviewer, we’ve received a steady stream of emails and comments from people who think that we’re Aldi. We’re not, and we say so all over our site: on our about page, in our disclosure policy page, and at the bottom of each and every page on our site. We even have a checkbox in our contact page that people have to check acknowledging that they know we’re not Aldi.

Doesn’t matter. We still get emails and comments. So we collect them. And occasionally, we publish them.

Here are the links to previous editions:

Once more, we showcase some of the messages we have received. As in years past, names, addresses, and phone numbers have been removed to protect the innocent. We have, however, left in every single typo.

From a comment on our Barissimo Maple Bacon Coffee and Bourbon Coffee post:

I am ready to boycott Aldi if you can not get the bourbon coffee back!

From a comment on our gluten free cornbread mix post:

Can we order your products?

From a comment on our post about the Huntington Home Spin Mop:

I bought this mop but did not get the disc that snaps onto the mop. Can I bring it back for a refund? I do not have my receipt. Or can you send me the parts I need?

From a comment on our post about Chef’s Cupboard Chicken Noodle Condensed Soup:

I wanted to inform you that your Chicken Noodle soup from Aldi’s have been very disappointing the last 3 cans Your soup use to have longer noodles and the last 3 cans that I tried the noodles were cut up and there were more pieces then ever before. I like the whole longer noodles and now that you changed it I am forced to buy Campbell’s Chicken Noodle. I hope that you change and go back the way it was before.
Thank you for letting me vent.

From an American, via email:

Hello fellas.
I was checking to send the message to frienly farms snd i found your page.
I will like to compliance about the oat milk maded from friendly farms to aldy supermarkets.
The oat grain its old and have a horrible taste.

Its not the first time y have the same problem before, but since i try it again i was specting they fix and solve the problem.
The ost milk it’s grate when the use fresh ingredients, but they frecuenly uses old oat grain snd the taste its terrible, nasty.
I hope you guys can do something about it.
Thanks a lot.

From a comment on our post about an Easy Home Ceramic Heater with Fan:

I am not ready to purchase as I was scrolling to compare some kitchen items for a sink. I have nowspent 10+ minutes trying to return to this site to choose the item I want. Perhaps they have all sold out in this time frame. I’ll be leaving this site now with NO PURCHASE!

From a comment on our post about what products our writers want to see at Aldi in 2023:

… more vegan stuff, but please, do a taste test first. a lot of your vegan food looks great and tastes awful …

From another comment on our post about what products our writers would like to see at Aldi in 2023:

Please carry non-sugar mini shredded wheat cereal! Aldi is my go to store and I’m there at least 2 times a week for something. Would really appreciate it! Thx

From a comment on our post about what our writers think of Aldi self-checkout:

… My vote is a no but I’ll work with what you all decide.

From a comment on our Park Street Deli Lobster Roll Dip post:

First of all it should be name Lobster Dip and not Lobster Roll Dip.
The lobster taste and looks like an imitation lobster like the imitation crab, like the imitation crab the the grocery store sells; kind of spicy and too many added ingredients. Worse of all it’s too watery or should I say soupy, it should be thicker.
You wanted us to leave a comment and what we think about your dip. Hope you improve it the near future.

From our post about what an Aldi Find is:
