Willow Premium Soft & Strong Bath Tissue

Toilet paper is one of those things I like to keep a good supply of at home. It’s not something you want to run out of during a snowstorm or other times when you can’t get out to the store.

Aldi sells several types of toilet paper in different-sized packages under its Willow private label.

Willow Premium Soft and Strong Bath Tissue

Willow Premium Soft & Strong Bath Tissue is a Regular Buy. That means you should be able to find it at Aldi all year.

The package says this is comparable to name-brand Angel Soft.

We buy products for review using our own money. This particular toilet paper came in several different package sizes at my local store. I paid $14.99 at my local Aldi for a pack with 32 “mega” rolls in February of 2025, which comes out to about 47 cents per roll. That large package was the best deal on this toilet paper.

Aldi also sold a pack of this Soft & Strong bath tissue with 18 rolls for $8.75, or about 49 cents per roll. Finally, there was a pack with 12 rolls for $7.29, or about 61 cents per roll.

Each roll has 320 sheets, with a total of 10,240 sheets in the 32-pack of toilet paper I bought. Each sheet measures 3.8 inches by 4 inches. The package includes a total of 1,080.9 square feet. It cost about $0.014 cents per square foot if you buy the 32-pack for $14.99.

For comparison, I found a pack of 36 mega rolls of Angel Soft selling for around 64 cents per roll at Walmart in early 2025 (the package, unfortunately, does not include square footage information). I also found a 24-pack of Great Value Soft & Strong toilet paper for about 70 cents per roll, or $0.017 cents per square foot.

So, the Aldi TP looks like a pretty good deal.

Willow Premium Soft and Strong Bath Tissue 3

This is a decent toilet paper. I like that it’s softer than some other toilet paper options I’ve bought at Aldi. It sheds a little bit when I’m unpacking it from the plastic wrapper, but it doesn’t seem to shed once it’s on the holder. As for functionality, it does the job fine. This is my current favorite toilet paper at Aldi.

The Verdict:

Willow Premium Soft & Strong Bath Tissue claims to compare to name-brand Angel Soft. It’s economical, reasonably soft, and comes in packages with as few rolls as 12 or as many as 32. The larger package is the best deal. We think this toilet paper is a good choice if you’re shopping for TP at Aldi.

  1. I gave this a try after being unable to find my old standby of Angel Soft in either of the other stores in town. That was 3 years ago, and I haven’t bought AS since! This is just as strong, and a bit softer, and you really can’t beat the price for 32 rolls. It’s now impossible to switch back, this has become the family favorite TP.

  2. We prefer the Willow Ultra Premium, Ultra Soft. Comparable to Charmin Ultra Soft. No complaints with any of the Willow products.

  3. I have been buying the Willow Ultra Strong, mega size bath tissue for several years. However, it seems to have gone through a major change in the last several months It’s no longer soft and thick as it was and is just like a bargain brand, very thin and very papery. To say I’m disappointed is an understatement and I’m at a loss to find TP any cheaper than the big brands now.
