People tend to have strong opinions about toilet paper brands, and even about where to shop for toilet paper. Some are dedicated Costco shoppers. Others are fine with big box retailers like Walmart. As for me, I usually pick up toilet paper when I do my regular Aldi shopping trips.

Aldi sells several types of toilet paper that are comparable to various name brands. A lot of Aldi TP also comes in an assortment of package sizes for households both large and small.

Today, I’m looking at one of the premium toilet paper options at Aldi. Willow Ultra Premium Ultra Soft Bath Tissue claims to be comparable to Charmin Ultra Soft.

Willow Ultra Premium Ultra Soft Bath Tissue is a Regular Buy. That means you should be able to find it at Aldi any time. You’ll find it in the aisle with the toiletries, personal care items, cleaning supplies, and household goods.

We buy Aldi products using our own funds. I paid $9.89 for a pack with 12 mega rolls (the package says it’s equivalent to 48 regular rolls, based on number of sheets) in March of 2025. That comes out to about 82 cents per roll. Some Aldi toilet paper comes in different pack sizes, but I found this one only in the 12-pack size.

There are 244 two-ply sheets per roll, with 2,928 total sheets in the package. Each sheet measures 3.92 x 4 inches. This pack has a total of 318.8 square feet, which comes out to about 0.031 cents per square foot. It’s one of the pricier toilet paper options at Aldi.

For comparison, Charmin Ultra Soft cost $26.48 for a pack of 24 mega rolls (with 224 sheets each) at Walmart in March of 2025. That’s around $1.10 per roll.

This is labeled as septic safe. The package has a seal from the Forest Stewardship Council International indicating the support of responsible forestry.

The package states this is not manufactured or distributed by The Procter & Gamble Co., maker of Charmin Ultra Soft.

This feels like pretty soft toilet paper, possibly some of the softest that Aldi sells. It also feels fairly thick. If you want toilet paper that’s comfortable to use and holds up well, this seems to do both of those jobs. You’ll pay more for this compared to other Aldi toilet paper, but the tradeoff may be worth it, depending on your preferences.

The Verdict:

Willow Ultra Premium Ultra Soft Bath Tissue claims to be comparable to Charmin Ultra Soft. We think it’s soft and pretty durable as well. It’s one of the more pricey toilet paper options at Aldi, but if you’re looking for a deluxe toilet paper, this seems to fit the bill.

  1. This is the only toilet paper I purchase. While a fan of Cottenelle, this Ultra Soft paper is the same (to me), for less!

  2. I love Aldi and this is the only toilet paper I buy. I wouldn’t buy anything else since this toilet paper is the best deal in my opinion. It’s durable, soft and good quality. The price is better than other quality brands.
