S’mores are a staple of camping trips, bonfires, or family get togethers in the backyard. They tend to be mostly a summer or fall thing, since most people in colder climates aren’t fans of having campfires or bonfires in freezing or sub-freezing temperatures. It’s not much fun to stand around in the cold while toasting marshmallows.
However, you can purchase devices that allow you to make s’mores indoors no matter the weather. A few years ago when we hosted some friends for dinner, they offered to bring dessert and surprised us when they showed up with all the fixings for s’mores along with a tabletop appliance to make them with. It was a simple heat source, with trays to hold the chocolate, marshmallows, and graham crackers, and several skewers for toasting the marshmallows on. We had a lot of fun making s’mores at our dining room table that evening.
An electric s’mores maker just showed up in the weekly Aldi ad, so now we can bring that taste of summer into our home again. Aldi has introduced this just in time for indoor s’mores parties during the coming winter months, and it would also make a fun Christmas gift for that hard-to-buy-for person.
The s’mores maker is sold under the Ambiano brand, which is not a separate company but rather is the private label Aldi uses for various pieces of kitchenware and cooking accessories. The Ambiano line includes a classic stand mixer, an electric grill and griddle, a double rotating waffle maker, a smokeless grill, and more.
What We Know:
The Ambiano Electric S’mores Maker (Product Code: 707642) cost $34.99 at the time of publication. That’s within the price range of other s’mores makers on Amazon, where they tend to run between $29 and $40 at the time of writing. In particular, this Aldi s’mores maker looks similar to a Sharper Image brand s’mores maker that went for around $40 on Amazon at the time of publication.
This is an Aldi Find, so it’s only in stores for a short time. Each store gets one shipment, and after that sells out, they’re gone unless Aldi decides at some point to bring them back. Aldi does not offer online ordering for products that aren’t in stock at your local store.

What We Don’t Know:
We haven’t yet tried this s’mores maker, but we plan to try to get one as soon as they hit store shelves. In the meantime, we don’t yet know how well this works or how easy it is to use. We write open threads so readers can share their thoughts and questions about Aldi products.
