January is a complicated time of year when it comes to fitness. We’re coming off of a holiday season filled with overeating and indulgences, and we know we need to do better. The New Year is an ideal time to hit the reset button on eating habits and exercise in an effort to do a better job taking care of our general health.
It’s not always easy to stick to New Year’s resolutions to be more physically active, but it might help if you have some new equipment in your home gym, or even just in your living room. New gear might change up your routine and add some enthusiasm to your workout sessions.
Aldi knows how we think. That’s why the grocer rotates an ever-changing array of fitness gear into stores starting in late December and carrying on well into February, and sometimes beyond. I’ve seen Aldi sell everything from kettlebells to tummy trimmers to treadmills to ellipticals.
The most recent batch of exercise equipment to arrive at Aldi includes a fitness weight set with ankle weights, weighted gloves, and soft dumbbells, and Aldi is also selling a weighted vest.
What We Know:
The January 2023 weighted vest.
The Crane Fitness Weight Set and the Crane 12-Lb. Weighted Vest (Product Code: 819751 in January of 2023: Product Code: 828322 in December of 2023) cost $14.99 in December of 2023. That’s $5 less than the $19.99 they each sold for in January of 2023. Aldi also sold them for $19.99 in 2022 and in 2021.
You might pay $10 to $15 or more just for ankle weights on Amazon, along with $13 or more for weighted gloves on Amazon, and at least $13 for soft dumbbells on Amazon. So to get all three of those together for just $20 at Aldi seems like a pretty good deal. Likewise, weighted vests started at around $27 on Amazon at the time of writing, and they went up significantly from there. That makes the Aldi weighted vest a good bargain as well.

These are Aldi finds, so they’re in stores for just a short time. Stores will receive one shipment, and after that sells out, they’re gone unless Aldi decides to bring the back at some later point. Aldi does not offer online ordering for products that are not in stock at your local store.
They are sold under the Crane brand, which is not a separate company. Crane is the private label Aldi uses for assorted fitness gear and exercise products. Other Crane products at Aldi recently include a slam ball, crosstrainers, and a booty training system.

What We Don’t Know:
We haven’t tried these sets, so we don’t know how well they work or how they hold up. We write open threads so readers can have a space to chat about Aldi products.

I have two of these now because they’re cheap and I wanted more than just 12 lbs of weigh. I love these vests. They’re relatively comfortable, have reflective bits for night walking, and are easily adjustable.
