If you’ve shopped at Aldi for any length of time, you’re probably familiar with the hype surrounding a piece of furniture the grocer has sold a couple of times: the famous Teal Cabinet. This glass-fronted accent cabinet has shown up twice in stores for a limited time, and with limited quantities available. With similar cabinets selling for twice as much at Target, the Aldi cabinets tend to fly off the shelves like hotcakes.
In October of 2020, Aldi upped its teal furniture game by selling an accent console table that matches the teal cabinet.
The SOHL Furniture Accent Console Table (product code 702279) costs $79.99 and hits Aldi stores either October 11 or October 14, depending on where you live and when the ad takes effect locally for you. That price is less than half the cost of a similar console table at Target.
The Aldi console table is teal like its cabinet cousin. It measures 44″ x 15.7″ x 30″ and features a large drawer with two pull knobs, along with an open shelf on the bottom.
It’s the kind of table you’d place in an entryway or hallway, behind a free-standing sofa or loveseat, in a dining room or kitchen for extra serving space or a buffet, as a drink or coffee station, or anywhere you need an accent table.
The table is an Aldi Find (Special Buy), which means it will only be in stores for a short time, and once it’s gone, it’s gone. Also, when Aldi sells furniture, each store does not tend to get a large shipment, so we anticipate a limited number of tables being available. In addition, Aldi doesn’t sell products like this online, so if your local store is out of stock, you can’t order it or have it shipped to you, and your only option is to look for a similar table at a different retailer or wait until Aldi perhaps brings the table back next year.
We don’t have personal experience with any of Aldi’s teal furniture, although we do own other SOHL Furniture brand products, most notably the SOHL Furniture Writing Desk. The company that provides warranty service for SOHL Furniture products has not been the easiest company to work with in our experience, so if you have any problems with your cabinet or table, it may take a few months to resolve the issue.
One thing is certain: these tables are not likely to last long at Aldi. So if you have your heart set on getting one, we recommend going to your local store the morning the ad goes into effect for your best chance of scoring one.
