Aldi Play Magnebuilds Aldi Store and Aldi Truck
Aldi has a large fan base. The grocer does not hesitate to offer merchandise that simultaneously caters to that fan base and self promotes. Aldi continually rolls out new fan gear, including shirts, pants, hoodies, hats, pajamas, quarter holders, shoes, bags, and more.
A year ago, in November of 2024, Aldi introduced two knockoff LEGO building sets. One was an Aldi store, and the other was an Aldi semi truck. We purchased both sets, and they were a delight.
Now, ahead of the 2025 holiday season, Aldi is selling new LEGO-style sets featuring a checkout station and shopping cart.
Additionally, Aldi has introduced a pair of magnetic tile building sets. One is an Aldi store front. The other is an Aldi truck. These look similar to name-brand Magna-Tiles. Aldi has sold other magnetic tile playsets occasionally for a few years now, but this is the first time we’ve seen Aldi-themed sets.
I picked up both magnetic building sets when they showed up at my local store.
The Play Aldi Magnetic Tiles Store Front and Play Aldi Magnetic Tiles Truck are Aldi Finds. That means they’re in stores for only a short time. Each store should receive one shipment, and after that sells out, they’re gone unless Aldi decides to bring them back later. Aldi does not offer online ordering if these are out of stock at your local store.

These were scheduled to arrive in stores the week of November 26th, 2025.
The sets cost $9.99 each in 2025. I bought these with my own funds.

These building sets don’t come with a warranty, but there is contact information on the boxes for after-sales support. Call 1-781-305-4366 or visit www.rms-usa.com.
Unboxing the Magnebuilds Sets:
The store front playset contains 32 pieces, while the truck playset contains 28 pieces. Each box contains a plastic tray with the magnetic building pieces nestled in small groups into custom compartments.

You’ll find a single sheet with “instructions” for assembly in each box. My husband and I assembled the store and truck together, and we found the instructions to be not all that detailed.

Assembling the Magnebuilds Store and Truck:
The truck was straightforward to assemble simply looking at the pictures on the instruction sheet.

However, the store was more complicated. It wasn’t clear from the pictures whether there is supposed to be a floor or base, or whether there is supposed to be another “floor” between the first and second levels of the building. We eventually determined there is no base; you just start building the vertical walls. There is, however, a floor between the first and second levels.

We got it all figured it out, but it took some trial and error. We also had a few extra pieces left over after building the store, so we’re still not sure we did it entirely right. Still, it looks cool.

The Verdict:
The Aldi Play Magnebuilds Aldi Store and Aldi Truck are new limited-time specials at Aldi. They’re pretty neat looking and are fun for Magna-Tiles fans or Aldi fans in general. Be aware the instructions aren’t the greatest, especially for the store, and be willing to experiment to figure out how to assemble these.
